Stopped there for lunch. Beautiful terrace with friendly service and very good food. I had the fish trio and my wife the smoked salmon with egg and guacamole. Both sandwiches were open faced and loaded with toppings. Super tasty and definitely worth every cent. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We eat there during our day trip, the place is nice and cosy and the staff was nice. We chose an hamburger which was very big, two brown bread, one of a fish trio and one smoked salmon. It was consistant and we didn’t took desert after this. The shrimps croquette were very nice ! The menu exist in English. We paid 57€ for three people.

deliciousness all the way through. I only go for dessert when I enjoyed the starter and main. kudos to the chef! not much I'd change. and the delivery was also eye catching. We will be happy to return.

Even though it was a rainy & gloomy Sunday afternoon in November (2022), this place still managed to ooze a warm & pleasant (gezellig..) atmosphere. Perfect location, nice ambiente and good food make for a well-rounded dining experience. But for some reason their drink-menu is on their website, which made ordering a bit more confusing. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €40–50

The food was really, really good. Both the fish and the beef were fresh and of good quality. The entrecôte came medium on a mash of cauliflower, accompanied by grilled green asparagus, broccoli and yellow carrots. As a side I’ve received one oven potato and a half corn on the cob. The steak came medium, as ordered. The fish came in a rich butter sauce accompanied by the same vegetables as before. The side were crispy, a little too oily, fries. Although we were not served any alcohol their fever tree Indian tonic water is fantastic. The cheesecake was moist and the crumble, well crumbly. Alongside came one of the best scoops of chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had. The service was really kind and charming. However not all waiters speak German, so English can be necessary. The atmosphere is great, moody and dark but still comfortable. Since there is no music playing in the background there is no need to raise your voice.

van Speijk is really a very nice place. We landed by van Speijk by coincidence. It was cold and we wanted to walk, but decided to step in for a bite and a warm place . It is a very nice restaurant at a wonderful location. The atmosphere is very warm. The quality of the food is very good. There are enough vegetarian options. What we noticed above all positive things is the very nice, kind, polite and helpful staff. For us this evening became a nice surprise. In summer time we will come back for sure. René and Menekşe
