One of our favorite places for food. We have eaten most of our way through the menu and everything is fresh, homemade, and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful too. They have a small and simple dining area, but it’s more than adequate.

Taco De Barbacoa
2 Compas catered our baby shower this summer and did a fantastic job! We had so many people come up to us and compliment the food. We eat at the restaurant pretty often and always have great service. The lengua and guacamole are my favorite!

Every employee was very nice and attentive to us. The place was clean. But the food was just ok. We had the flautas. The chicken inside was dry and blend. The rice was kind of blend. Definitely not real Mexican rice. It was the Americanized version with peas and carrots. The real disappointment was the Horchata. It was just terrible. I’m almost sure that was like an instant horchata they buy and just add water. Maybe the problem is the Pantego water. I don’t know, but we did not even go for the free refill.

We visited this place based on Google's recommendation and it did not disappoint. We were skeptical because it wasn't very crowded, but everything we tried was delicious. Everything had really great flavor and it did taste like homemade Mexican food. Even the soda machine dispensed soda made with real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup that tasted delicious. But the best part was the price. The taco plates were all under $9 and were plentiful. Overall this place was a great hole in the wall eatery for quality food.

There are various tacos,
I ate BIRRIA SPECIAL and PASTOR TACO. Pastor topped with grilled onions is a great combination of ingredients. If you like to eat with your mouth full, I highly recommend it.
I ate fresh hot BIRRIA with salsa sauce, and it was also very delicious.
I also really liked the combination of fried nachos and guacamole.

Small, sparsely decorated place in Pantego. The young man taking orders was patient with me as I tried to decide what I wanted. I settled on the taco plate (1 tinga, 1 lengua, and 1 carnita), and it was delicious! I also ordered chips and queso. They were so good. I love thick, seasoned chips. I also have to let you know about the waitress. She was so sweet and attentive. Great dining experience.

I started going to this place when they were in a gas station off Pioneer. As a chef, I love seeing people pursue their passions through food and the “2 compas” here are no exception. Their tacos were all flavorful and meticulously crafted. The beans that accompanied the plate were also tasty! As an extra bonus, I ordered the aqua fresca and tried both the cantaloupe and watermelon—worth the decision indeed! Do yourself a favor and go visit this small business!
Stopped in to try the la cubana. My this thing was massive so come hungry. The chips and salsa was great. The tortilla chips were a real highlight, and everything on the sandwich was fresh, hot, and delicious will be back in the future to try the breakfast tacos.

We went looking for a new local spot to satisfy a Saturday craving and Tacos from heaven is what we found. When you enter, you pass through a very clean and inviting dining area. Now walk up to the counter and order one of everything! We had the birria special, chips and salsa, a barbacoa taco (for taste testing of course), the enchiladas Verdes, and an horchata. The birria tacos were loaded with meat and cheese, and the juice for dipping was delicious. It reminded me of menudo broth. I wanted to drink it up near the end. The enchiladas were on point but be warned, they got some kick. They server mentioned it, but I was pleasantly disarmed by the deceptive potency, with a flavor so good its hard to put down. The horchata is also deelish but be warned, it will give you crippling diabetes. The barbacoa taco was filled with barbacoa meat that was more reminiscent of Chipotle barbacoa than the kind you find in a carneceria, but it was savory and tender and came with all the trimmings. We will be back to this spot again with the rest of the family.
