My husband and I stopped here for dinner during our stay (we are from CT). The food was excellent! I ordered the fried haddock and scallops and it was fabulous! The food was served hot (to the point I had to wait a minute or so for it to cool down). The fish was cooked to perfection and the scallops were melt in your mouth good!!! The service was good too, the waitress did a great job managing all the tables (we came during the dinner rush). I see the other reviews saying the service was bad or there were long wait times, we did not experience this whatsoever! I highly recommend this place, the food was terrific!!! Small town watering hole with great dishes. Come for the food (if you can wait for it) and vibe. Be prepared to wait for the entire evening for food and be ready to substitute food based on what is still in their inventory that day. The staff/operations/training/purchasing need improvement. You should plan on staying several hours to drink beers while waiting hours for the food and waitstaff. When asking for assistance, the bartender correctly helped us and went to get the server from the back. We were warned by locals this would take some time. We waited 3 hours for our meal and struggled to get the attention of our waitress. After an hour waiting for food, we were told this item was *also* not available anymore, indicating the food had not been started or communicated to the back-of-house. We ended up getting 1 dish for free and beers left off the bill by the end of the night. In summary, Pros: Good food and vibes Cons: long wait, unattentive staff, food had to be sent back to finish cooking. 4.5 stars. Cassidy was a great server and food was great. After a couple reviews I saw cold center fish and was concerned, however my experience was great. Food was hot and fresh (Parmesan crusted haddock). On my next trip I will be coming back to eat. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Yum!!! I used to come to this place years ago, and the Rodeo burger was always my fav. I was so happy to visit and this place is exactly the same with quality. Thank you 44 North - what a gem!!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

its just a little Restaurant with 10 tables, its really lovely and friendly, the atmosphere is great. The Restaurant is all you need for eating and drinking .....if you only wanna drink they have a separate Bar behind the Restaurant.The Food comes fast and is just excellent. We will come back again.

We can't tell how the food was because we never got ours! We ordered and an hour later still just had our drink and a roll. We thought if we changed our order for take out it would be quicker. After an hour they hadn't even started our order yet. We cancelled our order and she gave us a ticket for our iced tea and a roll! We drove down the road to a trailer on the south side of the road. Excellent service and very good food. As prices for eating out goes I thought it was very reasonable. Had baked stuffed scallops and shrimp and it was very good.

Waited almost an hour and half and our family only received our drinks and a lukewarm bowl of chilli that had clearly been left sitting for quite awhile before being brought out. Tables that 15 minutes after us started getting their meals. No one bothered to come and check on us or tell us why there was such a wait. No employee could be found, or flagged down, to even ask for a status update. Left without receiving food. Very disappointing.

Disgusting food and terrible service I got bear battered haddock and it came out still cold in the center and got a order of calamari while over half plate was left waitress Laura grabbed the plate and took it to trash like I was finished she was very rude upset about being back after a week off.
