This is my second visit to this restaurant within 24 hours. Would highly recommend having a reservation. The first visit the service had forgotten drinks as well as a long wait time for a meal. This was also on a very busy holiday. The second visit I was extremely satisfied with the service provided. The server had gone above and beyond to ensure our group was adequately informed and taken care of. The food was extremely delicious and served quickly. I would very much recommend this restaurant. Perfect. Great service. Delicious menu. Good selection. Beautiful view. Comfortable atmosphere. Can’t wait to return! Hector was a wonderful server - made us feel very special as we celebrated a girls trip. The mussels were incredible! The shrimp is cooked perfectly. And the bartender makes great cocktails. Really, so lovely.

We stayed at the Fives Oceanfront for a couple of nights & ate here for our first dinner while on vacation. We had the scallops & lumpfish caviar appetizer, the bolognese, and the seafood fettuccine. We were very satisfied with everything. All the seafood, including scallops & mussels, tasted so fresh. The bolognese sauce was very meaty & savory. We had the praline desert & a coconut pannacotta & the coconut was my favorite. Both sweet & a little salty, I could’ve eaten over & over & not get tired of it. They make the pasta noodles in house. I could tell since my fettuccine noodles were inconsistent in shape & tasted fresh. The decor & ambiance was very romantic. Only downside is service a little slower than I was expecting but everything came out fresh so I attributed it to that. Overall, great experience. This is such an amazing restaurant that I went here twice in a row. Leon was our waiter for those two nights and he was amazing. He was nice, charming and very good at his job. I love this place so much. If you go on the patio, you have a nice view of the beautiful water and their food is incredible. On the first nice I had a Margherita pizza which was absolutely delicious. On the second night, I had a Pesto Pasta which was amazing and superb. The pesto tasted amazing and I usually have nice pestos at home but this was a different level. Love this restaurant so much and would recommend to anyone who either loves Italian or wants to have a good time. Also the restaurant is quite nice and feels fancy. Love it! Often times resort restaurants just go through the motions, but the service from GM Alberto, and waiter Carlos was incredible. The food by Chef Tania was brilliant - the Chilean sea bass and squid ink risotto may have been one of the best things I'd ever eaten. If you're in Puerto Morelos, even if you're not staying at the Fives, go to Al Mare - you won't regret it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a wonderful experience, I have celiac disease and our waiter, Hector was so accommodating to me. Hand made gluten free stuffed pasta and insanely delicious mussels, the best I've ever had!! Can't wait to come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Not great. Took 90mins to get our first course. One sever told us a certain wine was included, only to be contradicted by another server who charged us for the drink. Our main sever was Zuri and he kept trying to push bottles of wine on us. We had a big group and when one of us said no, he would go to another to try and get the sale. Very unprofessional. And then at the end of the meal he refused to split the bill so that we could pay for what we each ordered. Do yourself a favour and skip this place. Lots of great places in town.
