Amici's in Shelton is an Italian restaurant that lives up to the hype. The food is always delicious, with dishes like Caesar salad, beet salad, chicken milanese picatta, lamb shank special, penne à la vodka, and steak specials. The atmosphere is inviting, with exposed brick walls, wood trim, and paintings of Italy that make it feel like a large Euro bistro. The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. The wine list is extensive, and the cocktails are amazing. The seafood cocktail is fresh and perfectly chilled, and the shrimp and scallop ala vodka and shrimp fra diavolo are both delicious. The bread basket is also a must-try. The portions are spot on, and the ingredients are always fresh. Desserts are worth the splurge. All in all, Amici's in Shelton is a great find for Italian cuisine.

My friends and I spontaneously decided to dine at this restaurant on a Sunday evening without a prior reservation. I called 30 minutes before our arrival and was pleased to find that they had ample seating available. Upon arrival, we ordered a variety of dishes including Burrata, Shellfish Martini, Beet Salad with Chicken, Shrimp Fra Diavolo, and Shrimp-Scallops Alla Vodka with linguine instead of penne. The culinary experience was exceptional, particularly the pasta dishes. It's rare for me to finish a linguine dish without losing interest, but the pasta here held my attention from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving a high-quality pasta meal. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive and efficient, with multiple team members available to refill water, clear dishes, and attend to any requests we had. I will undoubtedly return to this restaurant, especially when I'm in the mood for exceptional pasta. Pleasantly surprised. Went on a recommendation from a friend and were very happy with the experience. Will definitely be back. Don't park across the street!! We almost got towed! Dropped a 100 bucks to the driver to prevent the tow. Clearly our fault as there were signs everywhere saying not to; we gambled and lost, lol. We enjoyed the food and the staff was super. One of the best Italian restaurants in CT. Great staff (attentive, polite, professional) and the food, must try: the burrata, calamari, eggplant rollotini, meatballs, pasta, cutlets Veal chop. Well done 5/5 stars. Love the vintage white FIAT out front as well. Highly recommend

Sat at the bar and was very impressed by our server. Good pour on our drinks. Fresh warm bread. The seafood cocktail was so fresh and perfectly chilled, enjoyed every morsel. This place is phenomenal! The food, the service; the atmosphere. Delicious, savory flavorful portions. Definitely on the level of Carmine's NYC, Vegas; Adrianna's etc... you get the point. Definitely worth the drive to Shelton.

This restaurant has been on my list for a while and I finally got to go! It is such a beautiful restaurant inside, and out! It is on the fancy side but I'm a firm believer, that you don't need to have a special occasion to experience a great restaurant. My bestie and I came here and we had a great time! We ordered the eggplant rollatini to start off with and wow was it delicious! For the entree I ordered the chicken Scarpellio, which was on the specials menu. It was perfect! Full of so much flavor! The portion size was great too! I had leftovers the next night for dinner. The restaurant itself is very clean. I love the dim lighting and the service was amazing! Great staff, great restaurant! Very very pricey. I would think you would have more food. Takeout was $108. I was a chef for about 15 years. And I can tell you one thing the seafood was done perfect for my taste, but the risotto made me throw up. I’m sorry whoever made the risotto it’s really not good and they went in to pick up the food. It was sitting on the bar it was cold, and it was not worth the money. So no I would not go back there. I take it as a lesson learned. P S. I took the food home. I put it in a pot I added more mussels and more shrimp. They only gave me two pieces of shrimp three clams in sauce. It really did suck.
