It is the best spot near E Hayes and Sons - The World's Fastest Indian. Guests point out that they like Mexican cuisine here. Taste nicely cooked soft tacos, fried chicken and ribs. Not too bad! Very nice hot sauces. We had beef and pork burritos. Tasty, but not too big nor complex but I am spoiled by years of large portions in Chicago restaurants. What a treat to have Mexican food in Southland! Friendly staff. Excellent interior. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

The food was over cooked, the service was terrible as we waited for near on an hour for our drinks to arrive. The managers personality matched the food because she was inhospitable and appeared to not be able to smile - except for her smirk after being informed by a staff member that I wanted to know who the manager was. My drinks arrived with dried up and brown lemon slice’s that I can only assume that the manager sucked beforehand. Having been to Mexico and eaten Mexican cuisine, we were looking forward to dining there but unfortunately we were thoroughly disappointed. I will never spend my money there again nor recommend this restaurant to anyone. Totally poor service indeed. Some of my chicken bites looked like scorpions all shrivelled and dry, I didn’t even want to bring any of the food not eaten home. Busy little place with a very cool vibe. Recommend booking a table in advance. I also recommend the sangria, it's the best I have ever tried. Really enjoyed the food - lots of vegetarian options. Staff were really lovely and looked after everyone . Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Came in on Thursday night. The food was okay not exactly authentic Mexican food as I've have experienced on my travels. The atmosphere was really loud and claustrophobic with the near by tables. Really enjoyed the food. Lovely kick to hit. Fresh produce. Absolutely could fault the food and service. Unfortunately the machine that makes the frozen margaritas wasnt working well so we ended up with Luke warm margaritas that weren't pleasant . And the place was actually kinda dirty we had to wipe our seats the had sauce on one and food on another and there was dead bugs along the ledges by the big windows which was pretty grotty ..... But that shouldn't stop you from trying there food fantastic menu and I still rate it 4 star

Tried the November set menu, highly recommended. Coliflor taco, veggie Colorado and churros for only $29! Very delicious, affordable, and staff were fantastic. Will definitely be going back again. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was excited to find a mex place for lunch during our travels through Invercargill. Amigos did not disappoint. The tacos were all delicious! A flavor sensation. Staff were friendly and helpful and food despite being short of staff was fast. Thanks for such a lovely feed! Meal type Lunch

Foods great, so is sevice. Can be a little slow but only whent their super busy. Can feel a little cramped but once again thats just the premises their in. Just riding around on the bike and came upon this little cutie. Been a few years since we had a margarita and we thought why not . Then ordered a crispy Calamari and a chicken wings with rattle snake sauce . Washed down with a cold beer. The service was extremely quick and staff were very pleasant and helpful. This particular store has only been open for 1yr . There's 3 others in the South Island . The standard mandate applies for the covid rules. Plenty of seating available out the front . QR code on every table , so if you forget when entering or sitting outside you can scan while waiting for service ..
