We picked this restaurant because it had the widest vegetarian selection in the area. Food and the vinho verde we had was great. Service was attentive and spoke good English. Atmosphere on the outside terrace was nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Okay so I liked the service the waiters are very sweet but for a pizza, one beer and "an offered" bread and olives 25,65 euros that's too much. Very expensive price for the area! I think it was my fault not to ask if "the appetizers" were charged but I was surprised by that as when they got them it was "we would like to offer you this." Overall a good experience and again amazing service and the food was really good but would recommend to be careful with that and say no to "offered" appetizers for an extra cost Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Normally I don't really have high expectations with restaurants in touristic hotspots. But this restaurant really blew me away. We tasted all the tapas and every single dish was excellent! A must try when you visit Guimaraes. O and not to forget, the staff was really helpful and service was outstanding. A nice surprise of delicate gastronomy mixing traditional dishes with a modern twist. Very well located in the heart of Guimarães historical quarter with a good terrace and attentive service. Recommend the Corfish with crumbs and the Chocolate cake with Ice-Cream…

El Rei was closed that day so we try our luck here. It came out the worst meal I ever had in Portugal. Shrimp pasta is super tasteless soaked in oil, the pasta was too soft if I weren't hungry I couldn't finished it. Seafood rice also terrible, took age to cook and came out disappointing. Only a small shrimp/squid full of mussels, unbalanced and again tasteless. Waiter speak no English at all. Overall the worst, I can say.

Portugese Cuisine at its best: not in the sense of traditional but combined with best of contemporary, tradition and international cuisine and bar culture. I dropped by coincidentally and experienced unexpected pleasures of tastes of food and drinks. The kitchen and drinks are also closest to natural local foods and providers. Simply try!
