*The food pictured is El Toro, the place that we ended up at because of the poor service at Applebees. ** El Toro had us chips n salsa as soon as we sat down. We were done eating and leaving 30 minutes later. Mic drop. February 16, 2024: Never got the food from Applebees to know how it was but I'm sure it would match the staff. They could have cared less about the customers to put it nicely. We were at least a half hour-45 minutes in to our wait, waiting on pretzel apps because they were out of my first choice and THE reason we even went, the wonton tacos. The music was club music, nit restaurantmusic. The worst part and the what made us get up and walk out, was the worker who was splashing bleach water and deck scrubbing at 8pm, the room that was right beside our tables.. Open walls and no ventilation. The vapors were too strong to handle and was making me feel extremely sick. We haven't eaten at Applebees in probably 20 years. This reminded us of why. Paid $40 for food just for them to forget one of my sides. Car side togo is 👎🏽. I went in myself to get the food and all the waitresses I made eye contact with just walked by without saying anything. I called twice about not receiving my full meal and no answer. Just like they didn't answer when I got to the restaurant. I will be contacting corporate. I gave them a tip they didn't deserve at all. Last few times we’ve went it’s gotten worse and worse. I think our serve tonight was new because she seemed very confused. My mother and I got cocktails and while her mudslide was great my Old Fashioned tastes like a weird cinnamon cough syrup. Why was there anything cinnamon flavored ? I chugged it down because it took forever to get the drinks tho it came faster than the food. We had to have a table because they wouldn’t seat us at a booth to avoid double seating servers but the one male serve was seating his own tables so i didn’t see what the issue was. I’m not sure if there’s a manager there but the last three times we’ve been there, there hasn’t been one. The only reason we came tonight was we had a gift card. Their systems were down and couldn't accept my gift card, which was the only reason I'd go to Applebee's--the food is only so so. Lucky I had cash. Gave the server a generous tip--with an extra tip:"find a better job". What a mess; not the first time this location has had management issues when I've visited. Our service tonight was amazing, this place has been lacking good service for a little bit but tonight we had the pleasure of meeting the new gm Steve who really wants the customer service to be on point. I'm sorry I didn't catch the servers name but you kept our table flowing and we appreciate your great customer service. I love the artichoke dip here and I wore some of mine on my jacket tonight but Steve got me stuff to clean myself off and refilled my dip.
