Having seen Nelson Provincial Museum, it's time to have a rest at this restaurant. All the visitors adore wonderful Spanish cuisine at Arden Bar & Kitchen. Don't forget to try good gnocchi, tapas and anchovy at this place. The wine list is extensive, every guest can find something that satisfies their taste. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are affordable. When you enter this place, you notice the spectacular atmosphere. 4.7 is what this spot got from the Google rating system.

We went to Arden for lunch and we absolutely loved every dish. The food was amazing and the atmosphere too. Arden was definitely one of the best restaurants we have been during our holidays in New Zealand. We hope we can come back some day. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is honestly one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life. Not only did they fit us in for a last minute reservation, they catered to our fussy restrictions too. We were served by Ara and a nice male waiter, who each provided knowledgeable, polite, and efficient service. When we informed them of my lactose intolerance, the chefs were able to create an off-menu totally dairy free dessert for us. (Pictured) The food itself was incredible, flavourful yet balanced, expertly crafted and presented. Excellent value. The cocktails too, were delicious and beautifully presented. This place is quickly becoming my 'go-to' for that special meeting with that special someone. It is so quiet, intimate, and the staff so friendly and attentive. The food is excellent - and affordable - and hits your table with little wait-time. But don't just take my word for it (although you should). Go and see for yourself! If I could give 6 stars I would. The food, staff and cocktails were spectacular and they went vastly over and above to cater to our dietary difficulties. Cannot recommend highly enough. Lovely wine bar, with a great ever changing selection of New Zealand wines. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The small plates were delicious. We sat inside and enjoyed the ambiance. We went there with my mom to celebrate Christmas on our trip to Nelson. Everything was superb. From the service, to the food, to the wine selection, we had a great time at Arden. We would definitely come back and recommend this place!

Not the NZ PM but really good! Go. Great food through every course. Maybe too much bread or we could have just fluked the starters that had bread, brioche and crackers. The owners run the place and they know what they are doing. Thanks for looking after us and making our trip to Nelson special Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

An interesting place to eat. Select what you want to eat and each plate comes out tapas style and size as it is cooked. The service was exceptional.. friendly and attentive. Good wine list to choose from. Lovely sheltered courtyard out the back. My only gripe was the grilled broccoli and miso sauce dish which was far too salty for me. The pork belly, gnocchi, green vegetables were stunning. Its a very busy place which is testament to the quality of the food. Its not cheap but excellence never is
