the woman was impatient and urged me to pay with surcharge even I asked her not paying in advance, the man beside her was trying to justify that it's only 30 cents. It's just mind-opening that's the first time being told how to spend my own money in New Zealand. Anyhow, the noodle I ordered also was just nothing but complete failure because I lost confidence to consume the greasy and undercooked chicken. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Not one to leave a review, but felt I had to because the food was so disappointing. We had the vegetable satay, it was essentially some boiled freezer veg on overcooked rice with an inedibly sweet and fairly bland sauce. Would not recommend or go back. Duck Noodle soup, Seafood noodle soup, Pad Thai, and chicken nuggets. Tasty overall, noodle broth could potentially have some more flavour but still delicious of course :) Duck was good and the chicken nuggets were nice and crispy

I visited during labour weekend hence all Thai Restaurant are close. I invited my friend to have some lunch. Ordered friedrice with pork and sweet and sour pork. Food is delicious but should be a little bit fried of rice and meat as the name fried rice. I ask my friend if he like the food and said yes. Enough table and chairs. A fancy lightings. Cash and Eftos. Serving time is normally 10 minutes depending on orders. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Combination Fried Rice

It is in the center of Hasting, it shows an Asian restaurant/takeaway but, actually more like the Chinese flavor, we ordered Chicken fried noodles, Won Ton soup noodles are very nice but Thai fried noodles and Lasaka soup noodles are so so, taste not bad but not the original flavor that tried in Thailand or Singapore before. If you like fried noodles or Chinese food flavor, come here. If you want real south east Asian food, here is not the best. (score 4 if a Chinese restaurant, but 3 is stated as Asian food.)

Been open for a long time and the food is good and consistent. Service was great as my 4 year old was able to have a talk with our waiter. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

This is their beef Pad Thai. Everything was wrong. I've never had Pad Thai with courgette, celery, mushroom, carrot and cabbage in it. There was no bean sprout like they said on the menu. The noodle was wrong. Pad Thai noodle is not supposed to be thin like this. It's the wrong texture as well. They didn't use tamarind sauce or fish sauce. There was no egg either. The beef was bland and weird. No chives no crushed peanut. EVERYTHING was wrong. I double checked with the chef and he said it was just different people different taste. Saying it's difficult getting all the ingredients from Auckland. Saying it's how they've been doing it for 20 years. To me, they are not acceptable excuses. Maybe take it off your menu if you can't cook it right? Just stick to the things you know well? I'll order fried noodles if I want them....

Another dinner well enjoyed. This is becoming my husband and my go to dinner out spot. Great sweet and sour, pad thai, and fried rice. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Welcoming vibe, nice service. All seemed great. The food, far from the same standard. If you enjoy your food cooked in a wok tainted from previous orders then this is the place for you. My chicken Pad Thai had a fowl taste of seafood. The Pad Thai shared more likeness with a noodle canteen seafood dish. Than a restaurant quality Pad Thai.. the musaman Curry also shared this seafood taste. will not be returning Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

This has been one of my favorite Hasting Restaurants since I was a kid, great food, good atmosphere and seating. Ideal location for an evening walk after a meal. A definite recommendation for a dining experience; the menu boasts a large variety of dishes including burgers, more traditional meals and some specialty dishes.
