On our way back from Melaka, we stop by this lovely restaurant for lunch. The menu is simple but delicious. Service was faster than anticipated. It was the hot season, the scrumptious ayam bakar madu with iced cordial was very nice. Would go there again whenever in the area next time. Lamb shank full of meat..soft n tender..nice n price was cheap compare to kl (rm33 only) Kambing bakar madu also tender. Nice seasoning. If u take set..rice n water are refillable. Lamb and chicken barbequed to perfection. Lamb is not gummy. Bbq are not spicy and can be eaten by kids. Place was full of people and waiting time was long so we decided to just try the curry lamb shank. Rm33. It was good, lamb portion big enough to be shared by 2 persons. However I think the grilled lamb would be nicer, but we didn’t get to try. I gave one star for the atmosphere because the place is quite run down and there was flies were everywhere. Quite hard to eat comfortably when the flies keep trying to settle on your food. Good food. They serve ayam bakar and kambing bakar with rice plus a few other dishes. The restaurant sits by the road side under some trees. No AC but not so hot since they have fans and the trees provide good shade. Ayam bakar is first-rate. Must try. It is chicken with mild local spices and honey, cooked over a charcoal fire. The kambing bakar is not as good, and also twice the price so maybe you should avoid it. Rice is served with a salad leaf (yes, one!), cucumber and a sambal pedas. The sambal is very good and chilly hot! They do not have the full range of drinks - only 6-7 varieties of fruit-flavored syrupy drinks that are free-flow. Have been here many time. Now they have nasi campur besides the normal ayam bakarnor kambing bakar. They provide free refill on drinks. It's really worth it especially on a hot day. I like the sauce. It's a small stall by the road side. Ample parking space. Easy to find the location. Menu is simple : ayam madu bakar RM12 and kambing madu bakar RM25. Comes with white rice, salad and home made dip sauce (which was very nice). Bug portion for the chicken (quarter). They also have menu for lunch like ikan keli, ayam masak merah etc if you are not keen for the grill menu. Drinks serve at the drink station. Cordial flavored drink like orange, sirap, grape, ice lemon tea and all refillable - RM2. We tried ayam madu bakar and as others reviewed it was delicious. The chicken is tender, juicy and full of flavour. We did not get to try the kambing madu as they were already sold out for the day and it was just 2pm. I bet it's as delicious as the chicken. Friendly staff and they offer payment thru online transaction in case you don't have enough cash.
