Was alright. Didn't expect grilled onions on my street tacos. Had to remove them and get a side of cilantro and fresh onions. Didn't know the side was going to be beans, or I would have changed it out for rice. If you want the real feel of an authentic Mexican restaurant, I wouldn't recommend it. I had the "Molcajete" - it was delicious, and there was plenty of food for two people to share. I had 3 different people come over to ask me what I was eating because the presentation is very cool 😎 - steak, shrimp, chicken, sausage, fried cheese, grilled onion& serrano pepper, arranged in a blazing hot molcajete. The salsa was great, waitress and staff were pleasant, the atmosphere is a bit upbeat with traditional Mexican decor. It was my first time there, but I'll definitely go back. Everything about this place deserves 5 stars. From the greeting, the vibe, the service, prices, margaritas, all of it! The salsa was perfect (a little spicy like we like it), queso on point, chips hot and fresh, entrées were flavored great and presented well. The food was average Mexican fare for the USA. Nothing popped out as spectacular. The blueberry margarita was awesome and plentiful. But the staff was awesome and the atmosphere was great! Very clean and nice seating areas both indoors and outdoors. Perfect place for lunch with the girls... speaking of which the lunch menu prices were reasonable. Good location with plenty of red light access on either side to get you in and out of the busy street in front. I wouldn't go again for the food, but I would go again for the drinks, location, service, and atmosphere. Came here for a birthday lunch with my parents and the staff were amazing and truly made me feel special. If you are looking for "great" Mexican food and a nice atmosphere then this is the Mexican restaurant for you. I have never had anything I didn't love here, however, I will tell you my favorites are the Victoria bowl with steak and the sangria margarita. The fajita taco salad is magnificent as well. This is top notch Mexican food in an enjoyable atmosphere. You just have to see for yourself! It was great, had the carne asada. Our waiter was awesome, I asked for hot sauce he asked if I want bottled or house made, I obviously went for house made. The hot sauce was great, food was great and came out super quickly. Couldn’t ask for a better experience and excellent Mexican food. The fact that they use charros was also a huge bonus. Big fan. First time - great atmosphere, airy, bright. Decided not to get my standard metrics - chix chimichanga. Ordered shrimp queso dip and Victoria's bowl. Both were outstanding. Shrimp dip is not something I usually get, but this was a good gamble. The Victoria's bowl with chicken had fresh, well-made ingredients. Might actually order it a second time before I leave. Sat at high top near bar and service was outstanding. Will go back again before I leave Gulfport.
