Family own business. We had a grilled fish and the pinaples fritters for dessert. The food was excellent. The fresh fish was really tasty and cooked very well by the chef ( coconit oil , garlic and homemade spices ). I highly recommend this place. Very friendly family. I am happy to have spent my last night in SriLanka in this restaurant.

We spent New Years Eve here. The BEST seafood I've ever had. Absolutely remarkable prawn, calamari, fries, mango lassi - everything we ordered exceeded expectations. Staff are absolutely outstanding and the service is warm.
You are right on the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean. We went twice in a row!

I highly recommend this place. It is located literally on the beach, which makes atmosphere amazing (and a perfect spot to watch sunset). Food is excellent, I recommend trying calamari. Hosts are amazing and really nice, and you can pay in euro.

We went to this restaurant throughout our trip to Sri Lanka and here's why:
The restaurant probably does not have a very large list of dishes that you can choose from, but their quality and how TASTY (!) they are prepared are simply amazing. For the time we probably ordered almost all the dishes from the menu and were extremely pleased with everything.
I'll tell you more about them:
The local Para-fish deserves special praise. It is cooked here under garlic, lime, and some other incredible spices, because of which it acquires a truly excellent taste.
We also ordered tuna sashimi for New Year's Eve. The restaurant owner literally fished it out of the water a couple of hours before serving it (or bought it from fishermen - I don’t know that). However, in my life, I have not eaten more tender, fresher, and more delicious tuna. Also, the restaurant made us a beautiful campfire, photos of which you can see in attach.
Tip - be careful with portions. Here they are very big :D. If you order noodles or pasta, remember that even one such portion will be difficult for one person to eat. But it is also very tasty.
In addition to the food here being delicious, there is also a pleasant family atmosphere, which makes you want to come back here again and again.
Definitely 10/10. This was the best restaurant we have ever visited.

Back in Europe we still dream about the wonderful food we had at the Bamboo Shoot restaurant.
We had the most exquisite seafood and fish here. The best we had during our trip in Sri Lanka.
Small family business right on the beach with the sound of the waves.
The family who runs it, is extremely nice and friendly.
They also make their own spices and flavours and you definitely taste this in their dishes.
