First time was great! I was skeptical because it was small and I'm not from the area, but food and atmosphere was great. Felt comfortable in a group, brought my teen for dinner and the food was great! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Super delicious, homey-feeling neighborhood bar. The service was quick and the staff clearly knew what they were doing. The pierogis were amazing and the sandwiches were humongous. Happy to go back and try the rest of the menu! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

I have been to Barney's a few times now and I feel everything on the menu looked so delicious that it was hard to choose. I have to come back again and try the next thing. The servers are very friendly, prompt and attentive but not intrusive. Visited for the 1st time on a Tuesday evening and the place was packed but we were able to get a table within 5 minutes. Our server was excellent and took the time to answer our questions even though she was obviously very busy. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and it was huge (had to use a knife and fork to eat it) and very tasty. Burgers were also excellent as well as the french onion soup and waffle fries. We live right in Bay City and frequently eat out. This was our first time to Barney’s, and frankly we were blown away! Don’t let the older building judge the experience! The place was very clean, fresh, and with amazing service and food! The atmosphere was that old town pub where everyone knows each other. My wife had the brisket taco salad and I went with the Wednesday white bean chicken chili. Washed then down with a couple of IPAs. Less than $50! Find that at another place! Barney’s is the Bomb! Barney’s Bar & Grill is your classic neighborhood bar. Nestled in a residential area, it was clean and welcoming. My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner, around 3pm. Barney’s was busy, but there was plenty of staff on hand and there was no wait for a table. We were served drinks right away, but we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come over to take out food order. A little annoying, not a big deal. We have been hearing great things about the food here, so we were excited to try it. It was Good Friday, so we had to have fish. We ordered a Crab Rangoon appetizer and I ordered the Crispy Cod Dinner, while my wife ordered the Cod Bites. Or food came out quickly, it was just as we ordered, and it was delicious. The fish was perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and it was very flavorful. Top notch! My wife loved her Cod Bites and the Crab Rangoon was excellent. The meals were large portions, so we had a little extra to take home. Prices were reasonable, coming in at just under $50 for two entrees, an appetizer and two drinks. The staff was very friendly and checked in on us often. Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend and look forward to going back to try some of the other great offerings on the menu. I was drawn into here by their FB post of the western burger and Blake’s triple jam cider on draft. Neither disappointed. The burger was “eat with a knife and fork” big. Beer served in a frosted mug that is always an added treat. Full bar, high/low top seating. Lots of TV’s. Somewhat loud. Excellent service. Side door, Lot and street parking. Small restroom. The food is excellent there. Service was great! Was pretty busy even for a weekday. Between 3 of us, we spent $90 with an appetizer, 3 entrees and 3 drinks. Service was excellent. The food was okay, not bad but definitely didn't feel like I got my money's worth. I got the Bourbon burger and fries, it was a very messy sandwich.
