Bayside Takeaways is pretty near Te Hikoi Southern Journey. Clients don't highly appreciate battered cod at this restaurant. In accordance with the guests' opinions, the staff can be rude. The professional service demonstrates a high level of quality at Bayside Takeaways. But google users haven't given this place a high rating.

I recently ordered a burger from Bayside takeaway and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The burger was extremely bland and lacked any flavor or seasoning. It seemed as though it was cooked without any salt or other spices and even may have been a frozen beef paddie. Even the toppings were underwhelming and didn't add any extra flavor to the burger. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of the burger and the lack of effort put into making it. I hope that the restaurant can take this feedback constructively and improve their recipe to ensure that their customers have a better experience in the future. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Chips were tasty and fresh but at $4 a scoop it was barely enough to feed 2 people and a toddler. Enough for a few chips each. Very over priced food. Chicken burger was bland, chicken was fresh but lacked seasoning. The slaw in the burger was brown and needed something extra in the burger maybe some cheese? Especially paying $10.50 a burger that has nothing in it. Not worth it, very disappointed Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Went to this shop several years ago food was great a treat to eat. My wife and I decided to go out to Riverton Saturday afternoon for a takeaway So disappointing the blue cod was tough yes tough, no taste at all.chicken tenders the same we threw it out by the jetty even the seagulls wouldn't eat it. Spent 62 dollars for rubbish. Do not recommend eating here. Fish burger was huge, fish was old and stale like it had been sitting out all day to dry. Tough and chewy and smelling of strong fish odor. Would have to be the worst ive had in NZ. Maybe try gardening as a business?! Fish and chips is not your thing guys sell up.

The actual service was great. Lovely staff. The food was not so great. I got a sweet n sour chicken. The chicken was covered in batter, but not the usual consistency or appearance that you would expect for a standard sweet n sour chicken. The amount of chicken vs batter was way off. The taste of the batter was almost stale dag wood dog, that had been briefly doused in sweet n sour sauce. It tasted like the deep fryer needed a clean. Could have been because it was the end of the night on a Sunday. Could have just been a one off, bad, sweet n sour. I don't know. Service Take out Meal type Dinner

Travelling around the South Island in a campervan and had the BEST fish and chips EVER from Bayside. Bought 4 pieces of fish .... crispy batter, fresh fish, absolutely delicious!!! The chips were were crunchy on the outside and salted perfectly. Staying an extra day in Riverton just to get more fish and chips.
