As you travel through Italy you soon come to realize that there's not a lot of options when it comes to quality beer. Thankfully, the same isn't true for San Marino. Right near the archway at the entrance to the city is Birrificio Abusivo, a beer oasis in the most unlikely of places!
My wife and I arrived in town a bit late, and by the time we got to the brewery they were closed. I learned the next day that their hours shift during the off season (which begins in October) and they close earlier. We were there when they opened at 11am the next day however and I tried everything they had on tap. The beer is well made and they offer a really nice variety of styles including an award winning rauchbier, stout, brown ale, pilsner, and many others. They have four rotating beers on tap along with a nice variety of bottles.
The staff is fantastic, just like everyone in San Marino. Just genuine nice people who are there to make you feel welcome. These are true beer people too, which again is very rare in this area. We had a great time and will be visiting again one day!

Great little place. Personal was really friendly and let us taste al their beers. We bought some for back home. Didn’t get to taste the food but next time we’re in San Marino we are definitely coming back.

Had a fabulous couple of beers and sandwiches in this beautiful spot in San Marino! The guys here were helpful and the beers really good! Wasn’t expensive- about €5 a beer and sandwiches (really tasty) for about €10

The best Brewery in San Marino!
I got a chance to visit and take a look inside this amazing looking Brewery. The entrance was not easy to find but the extra effort put in to find this place was 100% worth it. The owner is very friendly and gladly shares his passion for brewing beer which you can taste in his wonderful selection of beers. I got the chance to try a few actually. I would highly recommend to try the 'Nostalgia di Bambergia'. It has got to be one of the most unique beers I ever had. You can drink then here in the pub or purchase them for on the go, so of course I had to take some beers home myself.
So if you are ever in the area and enjoy a good beer than this place is a must visit.

If you live great craft beers 🍻 make your way here!! Locally brewed (San Marino's only craft brewery), exceptionally good beers, ales, and IPA's. Friendly and welcoming staff and good music 🎶.....don't believe the hours in Google this place doesn't close at 6pm!!!

Brewpub beside the carpark near the castle. Good variety of craft beers. IPAs are very tasty. Convenient place to grab a pint or two. Very friendly staff.
If you love craft beers and find yourself in San Marino, visit Birrificio Abusivo! The owner has created some great beers! I ended having the IPA and stout - they were so good I brought bottles of each to take home!

Food and beer are overpriced. 6 eur for 330 ml beer in a hut in the middle of a parking lot is too much. 12 eur for a sandwich with basic ingredients as well. Avoid
