Lovely visit - delicious pies and sausage rolls. We enjoyed sitting outside at the entrance, the kids had a colouring-in competition which entertained them. Will be back soon! Came over for a Saturday morning coffee with my 8 y/o son. Coffee is good but don’t expect a hello, a thank you or a smile from anyone behind the till! That’s in the too hard basket. Such a shame that people who don’t like their jobs jeopardise future potential local clientele. Little things go a long way and often gets rewarded (aka: more money in the till). Easy to find. Parking out the back. Can reserve a table in advance. It wasn't warm in the restaurant which was disappointing as it was such a cold day. It made it not a very comfortable place to dine. The food was good. I can highly recommend the chicken and bacon burger, the seafood chowder was very filling, and the rabbit & mushroom pie was nice. It was a quick place to eat at.

Awesome steak and service, however the potato was overcooked and a little burnt. Wine was awesome as was local polytechnic cider. Cheese garlic bread and blue cheese dip also top notch. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $90–100

We heard great reviews about this place, and we were also told to expect a little wait, that said the place was very busy, it's new years day after all. The waitresses had to apologize to customers as they were running out of food, which must have been stressful, but they handled it with good humour and calmness, our food finally arrived and boy was it worth the wait, my partner had the chicken stir fry noodles, bursting will flavour, and I had the homemade steak pie with chips and salad, it was outstanding, I can't remember having a pie that good, on the side it had a delicious relish that was a perfect match. Overall it was a great experience, great value and I have to take my hat off to the hard working staff. Best of luck from the Irish biker couple. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thank you guys for having us for dinner for two days in a row. My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights close by and we were very happy with our dishes each time. High quality fresh and interesting food and very professional service. Delicious desserts and wine too. Highly recommended. Thanks for the lovely experience. Four if us recently had the pleasure of dining here. The venison shank was tender & in a delicious rich sauce. My rabbit pie was very tasty. Our friends had the goat and blue cod,which they really enjoyed. We'd love to go back and try the ostrich next time. We highly recommend this place for its tasty food & friendly service!

Been here a couple of times and they made lots of improvements with the ambiance PLUS this guy with a nice goatie/beard who was serving us was really wonderful. We enjoyed our dinner because of his humour! 5-stars! Their steak and fries are the best!

I called in for an evening meal, met by friendly staff who found me a nice table on a Sat night. Had starters of Buffalo wings followed by Baby back spare ribs. Managed to finish off with mirangue ice cream desert 🏜 What a fantastic meal it was. Would certainly recommend this place and reasonably priced too.
