We came to Puerto Morelos for a couple days just to eat at this spot and it did not disappoint. Their catch of the day with butter and black garlic was the best thing I’ve had in a long time! Would also highly recommend the empanadas, ceviche and soft shell crab tacos. We will be back!

I wanted to try fresh mahi mahi from this lovely town so we went there.
The atmosphere is great as you can watch pelicans flying, amazing color of sea!
But the food was somewhat disappointing compared to how it looked like. Grilled mahi mahi was with interesting sauce that really didn't fit to this fish for our taste, and the fish itself wasn't marinated with salt at all so it was blend.
The green sauce that you see from the picture is the same one from Tapas...
Ceviche was normal, nothing special. It's just I tried better ceviches.
Beers are not listed in the menu, so the staff will name the beers they have... Then do I need to ask the price for each beer? 😂 I don't understand why they don't have a beer menu.
Well, corona was 65 mxn with lime, so a bit pricy side. But the view is really good.

Great view, great service. Food was OK, portion sizes were fair. The best thing was the bone marrow into the tacos, and the grilled fish. The calamari was more fries than squid.

One of the tastiest meals I have ever had! Ceviche was the best one I ever had and the shrimp and fish tacos were only beat by the view! Our waiter was also super friendly and spoke great English!

Feels like this place is a hidden gem. We extremely enjoyed our lunch (fish and rib-eye tacos), drinks and great service. Too bad we didn't take a photo of the tacos. They were so good! Definitely look forward to coming back!

We ate at Boquinete seafood tonight. I wasn’t sure I wanted to go there because I couldn’t see in from the door, I’m really one for atmosphere but as soon as we got in and were greeted by Ricardo our waiter, we knew we had made the right decision. Ricardo is so very caring and professional. He gave us some great suggestions. His English is impeccable. He made our experience great, and put us in a beautiful spot right over the water. The food was fabulous. The ceviche was so fresh. Also, his suggestion for dessert was perfect. It’s much more on the inside than it looks like from the front door.

Finding both delicious and unique food and drinks AND a beautiful view of the sea is often difficult, but Boquinete delivers all of that and more. The service is top notch (Ivan is a ton of fun). We ordered margaritas as usual, but the bartender has even made those better! I wish I could remember his name, but we did get a picture.
