I had gotten my order through Doordash. I had the three veggie plate with rice, yams, and mac n' cheese. I also had the corn bread muffins. Just the little extra attention to detail like the company's sticker on the order, and the muffins carefully wrapped really stood out for me. The entire meal was delicious, but those yams and the cornbread really were the stars! If I'm ever in this area again, I'll definitely be coming back! First time visit today. We ordered take out the whole chicken wings, Mac n cheese and yams. This food was amazing!!! The wings were good size and fried just like my mom would have cooked it. The mac n cheese was so flavorful. Taste like ole school grandma made cheesy Mac n cheese. The yams were sooo good. We will return again for another dish. This is some of the best soul food in Metro Atlanta. It rivals the historic Busy Bee Cafe. Everything was wonderful and professionally presented. I wish they would open a location in South Fulton...they would get more community support and grow their reputation. I will definitely return and bring friends and family. I was really hoping to love this place, being not a lot of good soul food options in this area. I will say the sides were pretty good. I had the collard greens and mac and cheese. Daughter had the yams and onion rings, which she said were good. She had a 10 piece wings (flats and drums) - garlic parmesan wet. I had the 2 whole wings bowl. Husband had fish and whole wings, no sides. Unfortunately, all of our chicken was undercooked/not well-done. So we had to put all of the chicken in the air fryer to cook more. That was really disappointing, as the point of take out is not having to cook/convenience. Husband said the fish was good. I think he had the whiting. It's up in the air if we will give another chance but it won't be anytime soon. Wings are a nice size (both whole wings and drum pieces) but please make sure they are cooked thoroughly/well. I ordered 3 piece whiting fish combo with 2 sides, candied yams and macaroni and cheese. I also tried potato salad, chicken wings, and cornbread. Everything was a 10/10, no complaints. The food was extremely fresh and well-seasoned! One of the chefs came out and greeted us, asked if everything was good. Friendly customer service, definitely will be coming back again. I actually ordered from Uber eats but still wanted to leave a review I woke up on my birthday craving soul food and decided to give Dorothy’s a chance. NO REGRETS SO GLAD I DID! The food was flavorful and made with love. Reminds me of my late Grandmothers. Anyways, give them a try! You most likely won’t regret it! Thank you Dorothy! I've ordered from here before and enjoyed the wings but after my last experience I won't order again. I ordered a meal with catfish that was SO salty that I couldn't eat it and I've had better potato salad from Publix. The potato salad was super sweet and also thrown away. I reached out and told them about my experience and was told they would see what they could do and call me back, that was 2 weeks ago which means once they have your money they have no interest in knowing that it was bad and a waste of money. The onion rings was the only thing I ate for lunch that day. At least they cured my twice weekly boxete ordering because I haven't been back since. I had placed a large order and they were able to get it out in a timely manner. Everything was amazing! The candie yams were not what I expected , but tasted great and the mac was cheesyy!
