I had TA’S Hot Comby and my Wife had the Fish fry…. I had Cheese Cake and my Wife had better than Chocolate Cake for desert.. everything was good… but our Waitress stole the show, she was so so nice made our evening. Bri was our server and she was great! My friends were a bit late and she didn’t make it weird that I was by myself for a while. I asked for a cocktail with vodka instead of tequila and she made a great suggestion for a drink that wasn’t on the menu. It was delicious. Also the cheese curds were really good too. For my first Buck & Honey's experience I find it to be a good overall with just a couple areas that kept it from ascending to the 5 star level for me. In coming here for lunch I grabbed the fish tacos and the tacos themselves were very good. The sauce that is put on the tacos themselves is nicely balanced and the fish was cooked well. The only issue that I had with the tacos was the amount of oil that started coming out immediately after tipping them to start eating them. I tried the other taco and found it did the same. The flavor was certainly good and without the extra oil I think they would have been even better. The other part was the green beans that I got on the side, two of the beans I didn't realize still had the stem on them so that was an unpleasant surprise. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the fact that you can sit outside would be nice when the weather cooperates. The service was also good while here and lunch came out quick so that was great too. The restaurant is a big one too so even if the parking lot seems full I think you'll find it does have space especially as mentioned in nice weather when outside seating is open too. Great experience! The food was fantastic! I had a Madison Restaurant Week special of Butternut Squash Soup, Jerk Chicken Salad and Bread Pudding. All perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. My husband had TA’s Hot Comby with garlic mashed potatoes-he loved it. Our server (5100 M) was so pleasant and attentive. A definite destination again in the near future. Dinner last night was so delicious and we were taken care of by Matthew. The photographs of 1940s especially the couple Buck and Honey such a pleasure. Matt, our waiter, gave us courteous exceptional service. My friend and I are elderly and always split a meal since portions are more than generous. Matthew complied with every request so we were able to enjoy the wonderful ambiance and exceptional good food. I recommend B&H to anyone. Extremely disappointed with our experience. B&H has become very corporatized in recent years. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, on a Saturday night, and it was brown and well done. I choked down a few bites but ultimately, it was terrible. The manager removed the plate and the plate was not charged. No follow up was made as how to make the situation right. I have done take away of the same sandwich once a week since they opened and it was always very good and very consistent. But I'm the last few months not so much. The wrap is always different tends to be more lettuce than chicken and the chicken now seems like pressed refrigerator chicken not fresh and today the wrap is completely ripped open on the side they had to have seen in when they put it in the container.
