Talk about Southern hospitality ❤️ And hot damn, y'all! This was some bomb barbecue! We tried the BBQ pork nachos, brisket sandwich, and the rib tips with corn ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. When I say none of the meats were even close to dry, I am 100% honest! This is hands down the best barbecue I've ever had. Sides were fantastic and full of flavor as well. We bought a bottle of sauce to take home and will be sad that what we cook will never be as good, but hey, at least we have the sauce, right?! P.S. the cobbler made a great snack for the last leg of our trip back to Biloxi, thank you!! And one more note, we took an hour detour to see Elvis's birthplace, we might take the same route next time just to hit this spot! Rating on back story and continuing the business through tough times, rating 5+, so really really wanted to love this spot. BBQ alone 3.5 to 4 All was good and worth a stop if travelling through. However, not currently worth a detour if travelling for Q. I would stop just to support their efforts as they continue to hone their craft. Ribs - Good spice rub and profile, classic pork rub with brown sugar and spice. The ribs needed a little more time on the pit. They were just short of "competition pull". So just a bit more tender and these would have been spot on. Pulled pork - Same rub, executed well and would be a go to for any of the potatoes etc. Moist and good bark bits mixed in. Pork Belly - Well executed pig candy Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
Oh yum! Stopped at this funky joint for lunch on my way through town. Ordered full tater, fully loaded, with brisket. Wonderful and huge enough for leftovers. Also got blueberry cobbler to go. Service with friendliness and a smile. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

Tried brisket nachos with sour cream and cole slaw - "sweet" sauce on the side. Tender, delicious brisket on tortilla chips with white cheese sauce. Service is friendly - there was a line but my carry out was prepared fairly quickly. Clay's H.O.P. does it again - Outstanding. 5 stars 🌟 Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Slaw

Absolutely fantastic! The family that owns and runs this restaurant is extremely friendly. 📌 our hometown. The ribs were perfect without any sauce. The potato salad is a must! The Porkus Maximus was so moist and a huge serving. Smoked chicken nachos were spot on too! If that's not enough, grab the corn ribs!! These Illinois girls had an awesome time with y'all!! Check out the story about this hole in the wall place. It will make you want to visit it and once you eat here you will want to come back again. This is how I felt. I had the nachos and they were delicious. I love queso and theirs is so good. Priced just right and you will be full when leaving. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Honestly based on presentation and admittedly some personal bias of knowing what I usually like, I didn't expect this to be as good as it was, which is pretty darn good. The good: big parking lot. Memphis style bbq went great with the brisket sandwich. Ribs were very tender, good portion for the the advertised 3 ribs. The brisket itself was above average taste and the breading used was honestly amazing and really brought it all together. The meh: ribs and brisket could have been warmer. I prefer to not have banana peppers tbh. Gravel lot with no marked spaces, so expect at least 1 person to park ridiculously. Price is about average for what you get. The bad: bait and tackle shop is a joke and tiny, hope you aren't coming here for that. Asked for no Cole slaw on the sandwich, looked like they had put some on then scooped it back off. Walked up and placed my order, no one in line ahead of me. Unfortunately, they were busy filling delivery orders so I waited 25 minutes for a stuffed potato and a pulled pork sandwich. Brisket on the potato and the (chopped, not pulled) pork on the sandwich were very fatty. Maybe that's the northern Mississippi style for BBQ but my wife and I weren't impressed. Good hot barbecue sauce, I'll have to admit. Maybe an off day, we might try again on another trip through Tupelo. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3

This is the best barbecue I have EVER had. The ribs were incredible and the baked potato is on a completely different level. Drove from Memphis to eat here, and would do it again in a heartbeat.
