This cafe and El Centro can be both really attractive for tourists. Do not delay your visit – seriously, the Mexican cuisine is waiting for you. Taste nicely cooked fried eggs, salads and bacon. Good crepes, mermelada and croissants are among the dishes to be tasted at CAFÉ-CITO. A lot of visitors order great latte, americano or cappuccino. This place is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. A number of guests say that the dishes are offered for reasonable prices. You will appreciate the spectacular decor and calm atmosphere of this spot. Google gives it 4.4 so you can choose this cafe to have a good time here.

Be aware about this place, a big disappointment. Menu does not include VAT, which is 15% (local IVA) nobody is telling you that. On the top they charge you 7% for card payment, but we were told about upfront. The owner of place is rude!!!. I dont understand how the place can have such high reviews. Very bad experience!!! The coffee was okay. The service is good, however, we saw the owner being very rude to tourists just because they were taking shelter in front of the cafe while it was pouring rain. They were just taking a moment to figure out where to go and he said it’s just water, you need to go. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $100–200

We had planned to go one more block for breakfast when the rain hit so we just popped in here instead…big mistake. Coffee is decent (granted, I’m not a coffee snob, I’ll drink anything) but the food is terrible. Neither of us got what we ordered. Wife’s food was decent but not her order. Mine wasn’t even edible. A boiled egg (that was raw) and hard toast. Owner got angry when I sent the egg back, and when the second egg came out, even more raw than the first one. At that point we just cut our losses and moved on with our day. So many great places on this island, this isn’t one of them.
We ate here everyday for breakfast and the owner and his family are some of the sweetest and fun people to be around. They made our trip so much more memorable. The food is delicious too!
This place is quaint, simplistic and very warm and welcoming. It reminds me of my grandmothers house. The food is good and simple, can't go wrong. It's nothing fancy and very well priced. The coffee is good as well, both americano and cafe lattes. Ziggi is absolutely the best!! He will be your island tour guide if you need it. He knows everyone and has a heart of gold!
The coffee and food is very very good. Super kind and funny with their service. There are also some "secret" spicy home-made sauces I highly recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $200–300
Many restaurants and shops on this island have gone through several changes, but not Cafe Cito. We started visiting Isla in 1996, and this place has been here, unchanged since before then. It's lovely and the food is great. We look forward to eating here every time we are on the island.
Delicious breakfast. The owner and his wife were engaged with all of the customers.
The breakfast was ok, we had Mexican eggs and they were missing some flavour and diluted boxed juice, I feel it was overpriced for the quality. There were not spicy sauce nor jam. The waiter was making jokes all the time (a bit too much) and some out of place. The place was nice and looked clean. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $700–800
Don't even consider this place. Isla is already suffering from a lack of quality eateries, and this place has to be the worst. If you don't like tourists, don't work on a touristy area. Period, simple. Really, if I could I leave 0 stars...We travel through Mexico all the time, we have never been treated the way these two guys attending the coffee shop, The so-called owner was a little more attentive to customers, however he has no idea how to be in the service industry. The "Cook " was, for lack of better words, aggressive, When I asked a question about the menu he turned to me asking me if I new how to read the menu. We thought he was joking 😳, I wanted to make sure I will get my order the way I wanted, so I asked the question again. To our surprise he was upset 😡 and had the nerve to suggest I couldn't understand the listed ingredients. We had enough of that, got up, paid our coffee, and left. Unfortunately, we forgot something and had to go back in, finding them both bad mouthing us after we had left. As we left again, the "owner" wanted to know what our complaint was and as I was explaining, the cook poked his head, yelling at us. Anyway, you get the picture, it was shocking and disappointing, but we found a better (and WAY less expensive) place for breakfast down the street. Glad we were forced to find Mogaqua.
