I had visited this cool place a few times during my stay and I loved it. 💙
The place has an atmosphere and decilicious meals. I liked everything I tried, especially the seafood salad and tuna. A small confusion about fried eggs vs. omelet (I suggest to correct it on the menu) but it was a minor issue.
If you are around and want to enjoy your meal, come to Cafe on the 18th!

Coffee is amazing, food even better!
Not the cheapest place in teincomalee, European prices. But really, the quality is amazing and the place is so nice and relaxing.

A true hidden gem in paradise!
Food is on par with some of the best restaurants I've eaten at outside of Sri Lanka.
Expect to pay a little extra than your normal spending in Sri Lanka, but worth every cent!
Much appreciated 🙏

Mixed Experience at Cafe on the 18th
I recently dined at your establishment, and I wanted to share my feedback regarding my experience. While I appreciate the diverse menu and unique atmosphere, there were certain aspects that left me less than satisfied.
Firstly, the atmosphere at Cafe on the 18th is decent, but it lacks the wow factor that might set it apart from other similar establishments. The blend of Thai, Korean, and Japanese cuisines is intriguing, but it didn't live up to my expectations.
I ordered the Tom Yum soup, which was disappointing. It lacked the traditional milk and didn't quite taste like authentic Tom Yum. Although there was an abundance of seafood in the dish, I found it overpriced compared to similar offerings elsewhere. I've had better Tom Yum for a lower cost at other places.
Furthermore, the presence of stray dogs and cats in the restaurant was distracting and unsanitary. Instead of guests having to repeatedly request staff assistance to address this issue, it would be more appropriate for the staff to take responsibility for maintaining a clean and comfortable dining environment.
On a positive note, I appreciate that your staff confirmed the food as Halal. However, overall, I believe the prices at Cafe on the 18th don't align with the value and quality of the dining experience.
I hope you take this feedback into consideration as you continue to improve your restaurant. With some adjustments, I believe Cafe on the 18th could provide a more enjoyable dining experience for its patrons.

Honestly the best soy cappuccino I’ve had on the island, and I’ve lived here 2 years! Great location right on the beach, with a nice atmosphere and seating section for chilling or working. Amazing smoothie bowls too!

Delicious fresh food and drinks along with friendly service, right on the beach. I would highly recommend that you go here! My sister and I ate at Cafe 18 numerous times during our stay. Pancakes 10/10, French Toast 10/10, Poke bowl 10/10!!
Good coffee is hard to find in Sri Lanka and we were delighted to have some delicious (not instant) iced coffees here too.
They also accept card payment and serve Coke Zero!

Sushi did not use sushi rice instead of using normal rice. Even I am a chopstick user , I can’t pick up one whole sushi for sushi always fell apart. Need to use spoon to hold my sushi. Normal rice is cheaper I know but feeling is really Really bad and is not worthy the high price shop charged
The best place to eat good food and relax at the beach.
The food is well served here.
They are not only friendly to the European tourist but also to the local tourists.
The place is very clean and has a very harmonious atmosphere.
We travelled along the coast in Sri Lanka.
We had food in many beach restaurants but none of the beaches were so clean and tidy as this. Respect for the people who do their best here.
I hope tgey would continue to do so in the future.
We went for an evening supper and the ambience was perfect match with the beautiful sunset view.
Don't complain about the prices! This is a Cafe which uses quality ingredients to make your dishes extra special.

Great vibe and it’s right by the beach. Good coffee, good service and really good food made with locally sourced ingredients. A little on the pricier side but portions are generous and can easily shared by two. Gets crowded in the evenings between 5-7. They don’t serve alcohol but there’s a different small bar right next door, cocktails are very strong but taste wise just ok. Cafe is definitely worth a visit!

THE nicest place to chill out in Trinco. Although higher prices compared to the other beach spots (closer to English/Irish prices for food and drink) it's definitely worth it. We ate breakfast there one morning and then chilled out on the beach for the day with a few drinks.
