First trip but we will definitely be back. Centrally located to downtown BC and close to the hospital. Atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Diverse clientele where anyone and everyone will feel welcome including kids. Coffee and food were tasty and fresh. It feels like Mom or Dad or abuela made it for you - if they are a super good cook! We had a Breakfast Quesadilla, Breakfast Burrito, & Egg Caprese Bagel, Orange Mocha, Iced Peppermint Coffee, plain black coffee & a Pomegranate Lemonade. All were delicious. Only thing they could add would be a few bottles of different hot sauces from around the world to the self-serve coffee area. Though their housemade sauces are great too, especially the creamy chipotle one.
A few years ago Battle Creek's downtown was boring and dreary with very few good options for food and coffee. Cafe Rica is such a great addition. I live 30 minutes away in the Zoo but will stop here whenever I am close by for a coffee, a meal or just to work on my laptop. Highly, highly recommend.

Café Rica has a great selection of fantastic lattes. The service was super nice and the drinks tasted even better.
I got the lavender with oat milk and my boyfriend got the maple which was perfect.

Adorable restaurant with cozy ambiance and delicious food. They make their own gluten free tostadas! Their bagels are wonderful, my friend recommends the one with peach jam. They have a number of seasonal items to choose from along with an already large menu.

Excellent spot for a quick but delicious breakfast in Battle Creek. Unexpectedly boasts a huge menu and a unique cocktail list, filled with coffee/espresso-infused options.

I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough. It’s called Cafe Rica in Battle Creek. First off, LGBT friendly so hell yeah. Second, the servers were all INCREDIBLY sweet after my clumsy self spilled coffee on me! This is definitely going to be a weekly hangout spot for me to work. Pictured is the beautiful latte art on my lavender latte with oat milk 🥰 - Dakota

Cafe Rica is my favorite place to visit in downtown Battle Creek.
All of the employees (and the owners) are extremely friendly and kind. The food, drinks and service are also very, very good!

I’m not sure why almost all coffee shops push the sexual flag at a good place but they have it right by the front door.
The staff their is extremely knowledgeable about coffee, how it’s made, and where each brew comes from. Everything I’ve ordered from them is fresh and tastes excellent. Atmosphere has an upbeat and fun feel. You can sit inside or out, both have a great view. I would like to see them get a customized open sign to better fit their unique feel.

I’ve been in Battle Creek for a bit over a year now, and Cafe Rica is my favorite business anywhere nearby. INCREDIBLE food, delicious (and high-variety) coffee options, and impeccable service. It’s become a staple for my wife and I for date-days and was my lunch of choice in my birthday. Anyone swinging through or here for good should absolutely try them out!
