3 July We arrived at 11 Service was quick and friendly. The food was great. We both had a different versions of Tenderloins with mashed potatoes and gravy they were very big. We shared a slice of Peach Pie which was outstanding. The price was extremely reasonable. Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I loved the bacon cheeseburger and my girlfriend had the grilled cheese sandwich plate. It was toasted cheese, not grilled. She was okay with it, I wouldn't have been. Overall good food although they've just opened, so I imagine improvements to processes in the future.

First off…. We never got any food , after we ordered. We sat there for over 40 minutes. We did get our beverages, no refills though. Everyone seemed to be waiting a very long time. I finally went and ask if they had started our order. They hadn’t… so I payed for my soda and left. While I waited at the counter, the cashier and waitress were arguing, instead of helping customers. I had the minute steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, with cauliflower. It was very good and priced right. I had the pork chop dinner the other day, also very good. Everything was very good except the gravy. The gravy rocked. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a wonderful lunch with my family before shopping at the Dutchman store. Our waitress was super friendly and checked several times to make sure we were okay. Serving sizes were huge for the price and everything was delicious! Homey welcoming atmosphere, we will be back!

As we were loading up the truck after shopping at the Dutchman, I looked up and noticed this little restaurant. We decided to check it out for lunch and we were really pleased. My wife had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and I had the Patty melt. Both were great - no complaints. The atmosphere is calm and homey with the Fox theme spread throughout. Foxes decorating the Christmas tree were a cute touch. The waitress was very nice and took care of us as best she could. She appeared to be working alone on the floor and was taking care of a lot of people, but she got our order in quickly and food came out hot and fresh off the grill. The prices were reasonable. We’ll be back and are planning to make this a normal stop when we come to The Dutchman. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Be sure to support this restaurant when visiting The Dutchman's just across the street in Cantril Iowa. Completely handicap accessible. Six of us from Wayne County had lunch. Server Liddell was the best, checking on us just right, fun and got all orders right. Food very delicious, served to us timely, rest of staff warm and welcoming! Decor very well done and fresh!
