Overall, the cupcakes and cookies were delicious! The cupcakes were very moist and had a tasty flavor. The cookies were very well made and decorated. All were super cute. Price, not so much. However, my grandson really enjoyed them, so that's what really matters!

They serve vegan food and it's amazing! I look forward to my next return. The Tomato basil soup was so awesome. The shop was also so cute, I had to steal some photos to show my friends!

Carter’s Sugar Shop is our go to bakery for everything and every occasion! Shelli Carter is beyond talented with all of her amazing cakes, cookies and goodies. Not only do they taste fantastic, they look beautiful and create lasting memories. She has made my children’s birthday cakes, graduation cakes, engagement cookies, wedding cakes & desserts and now even bay shower cakes and desserts for my grandbaby. Thank you Shelli for all you do to make all of my families special events even better! 💕

I needed a cake for a birthday and even though the shop was closed and they were on vacation, they still replied to my messages. They were more than happy to answer all of my questions and asked for a reference picture for the cake. I found an image and sent it in, not knowing that they would completely recreate the image to perfection!!!!’ So completely amazed!!! Beautiful work and such wonderful people to make this day beyond my expectations. Will recommend over and over! Thank you Carter’s Sugar Shop.

Carter’s Sugar Shop did our bride and groom combination cakes and absolutely nailed it. We asked for unconventional, very decorative and life-like and what Shelli delivered was a work of art. It almost hurt to have to carve it up, but the flavors were also unique and very much enjoyed. Our guests couldn’t get enough pictures and are still talking about the cakes. Highly, highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a showstopper of a cake. They will not disappoint.

My husband and I have gotten 3 cakes from Shelli. They have all been dry and practical flavorless. Last year we had a small wedding due to covid so we pushed back the original cake plans and came up with a new cake idea for our smaller wedding. My husband had to go pick up the cake on our wedding day. Then she didn’t give the cake stand so my dad and I picked up the wedding stand from Shelli’s house on my wedding day. We got the cake and come to find out it wasn’t even the right flavor that we ordered. We expressed these concerns with Shelli since had to get more. We had already paid and she wouldn’t make any accommodations. We decided to have a smaller crowd since this event was round 2. We had ordered much larger cakes but she refused to make any changes to the order. Shelli said she would arrive between 8-11am with the cakes. At 10:55am she shows up to our venue with the cakes. They were both extremely dry and tasted awful. The cupcakes you get at the tasting are no where near what you actually get in the cakes. The cakes were way over priced. The only positive is that the cakes look good, but I would have wanted them to taste good too.

Cake was terrible! It was extremely dry. All of our guest nicely told us how dry it was. The cakes are decorated nicely but they taste bad. It was embarrassing to serve it to our guest. The day before our wedding reception we served HEB cake to our wedding party and everyone loved it. I highly don't recommend Carters Sugar Shop.

This place is awesome!! The owner is such a sweetheart. The cake recipes have great traditional history. Great family story. Shelli is a true artist and you can tell she truly cares about her craft. It’s only a matter of tome before she gets national recognition!!

I didn’t catch the name of the woman who helped me but I walked in needing a cake super last minute, and she decorated one for me so quick and it was perfect and delicious. I also grabbed a banana fosters cupcake and stickers at the front. All of the workers were so sweet and delightful.🖤
