This was one of our favorite meals we had in our two week trip to Portugal. This restaurant had a wonderful ambiance. The food and the service was 10/10. If you are looking for a traditional Portuguese meal at reasonable prices, do not skip this place. Our food was delicious and it was still cooking in the dish it was so hot! We had a bottle of wine with our meal. Amazing experience in a relaxed family environment. The place is always busy. Food delicious. We tried Arroz de pato and codfish. Good location. Price per person €20–25

Great food, good service. I had lamb, which locally is generally a bony affair, shy on meat. The actual meat on the bones here at Maria Perre is much more generous. The restaurant is another place popular with locals. They just sat a table of 14! To save money you can ask the to skip the bread, olives etc. they put on the table.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. Authentic Traditional dishes with a very good service. We felt very welcomed. We went on a Saturday, that's the day when they serve "arroz sarrabulho" - a typical dish for this northern region.

This restaurant is a must to visit when in Viana do castello. The inside is beautiful, the staff are brilliant and the food is wonderful.
