The co-owner was very gracious. He spent time answering not just questions about the food but also about the area and the history. The food was excellent and the ambiance could not be beat. The whole vibe of the place was chill and relaxing. The birria and cochinita were awesome. And the chocolate tamale is a must!

Absolutely delicious! Each bite of our meal was like a little party in our mouth. We had the Enchilda Suizas with chicken and cheese (roja & verde). It was such a fresh tasting meal. The suppers are all delicious , as well as the lime dessert (Carlota). The owner speaks English, French and Spanish and serves the tables. The drinks were also delicious, we had Guava/tamarind juice, which had a really light and fresh taste, the Horchata (rice water/cinnamon) was delicious also, and the coffee was fresh and tasty! They are open 7 days a week for breakfast/lunch/supper, which not many are… so it’s nice to count on them always being open.
If you come to El Cuyo you have to make a stop at Casa Mangle - the food is INCREDIBLE!! Great taste, beautiful presentation, and super friendly service. My husband and I went there twice a day while we stayed in El Cuyo - it was just so good. They also speak Spanish, English, and French which could be helpful for some tourists. I highly recommend checking out this beautiful restaurant!!

Super friendly service. Great, delicious takes on authentic Mexican foods., I have struggled in general getting vegetarian dishes in Mexico but with a few dishes on offer, it didn’t feel like I was getting an “after-thought” dish and it was so so good! We didn’t have enough time to go back but 100% will be straight there next time we’re in El Cuyo!

Jalapeno Poppers
Everything about this place is top class.
I had an amazing chilaquiles breakfast while watching football live on my laptop (amazing internet).
The jalapeno poppers were delicious, we also had guacamole and Chile relleno for dinner which were also amazing and beautifully presented. Don't miss the deserts.. we had the triple chocolate tamales (heaven for chocolate lovers!)
We had some great drinks. Try the Carajillo if you want the Mexican version of a espresso martini.
And the service? Wow! They have raised the bar very high in this regard as well. You will not get anything better in the Yucatan peninsula.
Thank you Monica and Jon and the rest of the team! We will definitely try some more dishes before we leave.

This place is a find. You could not be disappointed in the food, service, or atmosphere. The owner and his wife run this 3 or 4 table establishment. His English is absolutely perfect. He is also fluent in French and Spanish. They serve three meals a day. After a very long trying day, getting to El Cuyo, Casa Mangle seemed like a savior to us. My wife and I ate for 450 pesos( we shared a meal and appetizer) with drinks. If you're in El Cuyo, this is a must try. I'm actually heading there for breakfast now.
