So sad to see the continued slide in quality and service at this historic restaurant. It's not the parking and other excuses given by ownership, it's food quality and service. Went to pay homage after hearing they were closing and the queso flameado was 2% cheese and 98% filler...peppers and onions. Daughter ordered cheese enchiladas and got beef. I ordered tostada that were supposed to be beef, bean, guacamole, lettuce and tomato. I literally got lettuce and guacamole. I’ve unfortunately been having to give this restaurant unfavorable reviews for quite some time now. It’s been so disappointing to lose my favorite go-to Mexican food establishment due to such bad service and poor food quality. HOWEVER, I was invited to lunch yesterday so I reluctantly obliged. I’m happy to report that there has been a significant change. The food was hot and fresh which is a vast difference from the last time I was there when it tasted like reheated leftovers. The flavors were delicious and on point for Casa Rodriguez style Mexican food. Everything was served neatly plated vs. the sloppiness I’ve consistently seen. Service was adequate even being moderately busy. And wait time was average. I’m happy I was able to improve my review. Whatever they are doing, I hope it continues so that everyone can enjoy the Casa Rod I came to love. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

One of my favorite mom and pop restaurants in BCS. Their breakfasts are filling and affordable, and you can really see the dedication the family, when the owner is there in the morning rolling silverware alongside the rest of the staff. I don't know if it's because we have become foodies of the world or if it was just the horrible service, including even trying to pay our bill when they had to find four people and I had to stand there for 20 minutes at the register, but the queso was very runny, the server never bothered to reveal our drinks, or are salsa which was gold, and unfortunately, even though we could find a front parking space, it was just very lackluster. Please understand that I absolutely expect and adore and love puppies Mexican restaurant! I love their queso, I love their queso burritos, I love the ceiling that is falling down in the bathroom, I love the fact that you have to make a 12-point turn to park your car. So I'm not bougie! This was where me and my wife had our 1st date many years ago. Sadly the food was not what it once was. We have eaten here a few times thinking maybe they just had a bad day. The service was bad, and the food was bland. I'm all about supporting local businesses but you have to have a good product. I would not recommend this place. We decided to get dinner here about a month ago since we always see people mention their food. However, we did not have a good experience. The place was not busy, but our food still took awhile. We ordered everything as it is described on the menu, but only the kids meal arrived as described. In the meantime, the owners were taking shots with another party and even after sending the food back, it came back wrong... Again. I went to Cas with friends recently, and it was absolutely a first rate experience. The food is outstanding. This is the real deal if you want true Tex Mex. Chips and salsa are A+. We spoke with the owners and they could not have been nicer. Service was attentitve and excellent. As a Texan that grew up with unpretentious Tex Mex, I can say Casa more than delivers, and I cannot wait for my next visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
