You Need To Know! Had no wait getting into the restaurant. Ordered potato pancakes, pizza, filet sandwich & a berry almond chicken salad . The pancakes were an appetizer but not worth 12 bucks for 5 mini cakes. The pizza was fresh dough but yet bland. The chicken salad was large but yet nothing special as well. The filet sandwich was juicy & excellent. Chopped filet with bacon, provolone, seasoned arugula & garlic aioli. This sandwich was a sure winner! Now You Know!
Wow! I wish I'd visited Cavanaugh's long before this. Quaint hometown Pub environment with excellent service and varied cuisine to suit each pallet. Just the right selection, and I'll definitely be visiting again.

The food is great, but the multiple experiences with bad service will be why we won’t return for awhile.
After having a server walk by us multiple time with no acknowledgment, the bartender saw us and got our drinks.
15 minutes later, I had to get up to have the server come take our order. She did that and got me another drink, but that was the last time we saw her until it was time for our check ( which took another 10-15 minutes to get).
The place wasn’t full, and as someone who used to be in the service industry, I would consider it a manageable crowd, yet they didn’t come to ask how anything was, get us drink refills, etc.
I give a ton of credit to the hostesses who were very visible and running like crazy. They brought out all our food, got my salad dressing, and cleaned some of our table. The hostesses and servers should switch roles, as they were doing most of the work, but probably getting a minimal portion of the tips.
This was just one of the bad experiences we had here. Last summers experience was worse, but I won’t even get into that!
The outdoor area is great, food is very good, but the poor service really brings it down. So disappointing!
I’d highly recommend the owner hire someone to come in to fix the issues and properly train the staff.

Everything was amazing! Great food, friendly staff. A big shout out to our waiter Kyle. It was our first time there he answered all our questions about the menu. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. Can’t wait to go back!

Very nice venue and menu ~ owner present, warm & friendly interacting with guests. But numerous drink order problems ( including no drinks at all ), food order not taken until we finally flagged down owner. Then food did not appear for over an hour. Other guests told us this was not unusual.

This place could be great, but the way it is run right now leaves a lot to be desired. The venue is off the main path but the stone walled court yard is a very nice feature. We walked in on a Friday in late June. The courtyard was half full but had plenty of seats at the bar and at tables. As we looked around to find a spot and find out if the inside was open, we were abruptly and rudely intercepted by an employee. This woman scolded us and informed us that we needed to see the hostess for seating. She directed us to a half hidden and unmanned hostess stand on the other side of the courtyard, in a completely uncalled for attitude that I can only assume was to make us feel small. If a sign had been up directing us to the host station, we would have done so. If we had seen someone that looked like a host/hostess we would have engaged them. As is, this place appears to be run poorly and treats clients inappropriately. Please read some of my other reviews to see how rare this is for me to do. In fact I have never reviewed a place this poorly and hope I am never compelled to do so again. Avoid this venue at all costs.

The food is great, but the service is absolutely awful. The first time, I let it go and chalked it up to the fact that it was a weekend. The second time, same experience. We were seated and provided menus. After 20–30 minutes went by and other tables that came in after us were getting service, I finally had to get up and ask for service. The waitress apologized and stated she was the only server, which I understand and feel bad about, but for other tables that came in after us to get service, it was inexcusable. Not to mention, it wasn’t busy. There were six tables, including ours, that were occupied. I was a server for years and would never allow a table to sit for 20 minutes.

Used to love it here but the last few times we’ve been here the service has been AWFUL - I’m talking only 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant on a weekend! End up being here for 3 hours, the first hour with no appetizers and only got our drink after waiting a half hour. Each time food comes out missing items, always the salads to be specific, and usually the risotto that comes as a side. We will not be coming back for awhile since this seems to be the new theme. Super unfortunate

Atmosphere was nice. Waitress was good. Everyone’s food had a great presentation and was delicious. My Cobb salad was not . It barely had a sprinkling of blue cheese and bacon. And they had to bring the egg 20 minutes after the salad was served. I would go again but not order Cobb salad!!!
