Wonderful lunch at Centella Bistro. The owner is very nice and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. The fish curry was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka and well worth the wait to be cooked fresh for you. The accompanying veg curries were also very tasty and complemented the dish perfectly.

Looking for a comfortable place to enjoy a nice morning coffee? Centella Bistro is your spot. The staff is wonderful, they offer cappuccinos and espressos (as well as breakfast of course), and if you’re lucky you’ll meet their sweet dogs and cat. Highly recommend.

Wonderful restaurant with super delicious and fresh food. We can recommend the fish curry and vegetable pasta. The owners are also very welcoming and animal friendly! 🙏

We stopped here tonight for dinner. The restaurant was very welcoming with white table cloths on all the tables. We decided to have the prawn tikka parcels to start, which were delicious. This was followed by Yellow fish curry, full of flavour and beautifully presented. I had the Bisque di Gamberi (Spaghetti with prawns in a bisque sauce). Again, the dish couldn't be faulted. The menu isn't extensive, but the chef knows his stuff. The service was very friendly and attentive. Thank you guys, it won't be the last time we see you! Thank you for a really great evening.

Really great restaurant, and the fish and chicken curry's were incredible and very authentic. The staff explained each part and it was all delicious. Great value for money (less than £5 for a curry with rice, side dishes and roti). Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff, beautiful restaurant serving fresh home cooked Sri Lankan food. The curries were delicious and cooked to order with your preferred spice level. It felt fancy without being intimidating, lovely relaxed vibe. Highly recommended

If you’re staying in Negombo, don’t miss out on this amazing gem restaurant! All dishes are very high quality traditional Sri Lankan, absolutely fresh and local. We tried different starters and curries as well as the amazing coconut and cheese cake. I am surprised this place is not packed all the time. Maybe it’s because it’s located at one of the main roads in Negombo but don‘t let this mislead you. Everything is home made (they even make their own curry mix and hang their chilis out to dry). The owner is a great, inspiring dude who lived and worked at 5 star hotels in the UK - you can really feel the love of traditional Sri Lankan food meeting 5 star hotel cuisine. Next time we‘ll be in Sri Lanka, the Centella Bistro is definitely on the list!

Went to this restaurant as recommendation from our guest house owner and it did not disappoint. We could choose the spice level of the food and adjust when needed. The curries were amazing, so flavorful and as a dessert we ate a home made cheesecake. The owner was really kind and fun to talk to. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great too, really relaxed. Would 100% recommend eating here!

Amazing restaurant, with great food and fantastis hospitality. We had our first night in Sri Lanka and this was the perfect way to start it. They explain the food really well and make sure it fits your needs.

Discovered this little piece of Italy along the coast of Sri Lanka. Not only did they serve a refreshing glass of white wine, but the rescue dogs reaffirmed how great the owners of the establishment are, helping the ones with 4 paws to have a home to feel safe in 🐾😸🐶🐾
