Chisholm Trail Bar-B-Que in Lockhart, Texas has the best tasting BBQ I have ever sank my teeth into. Lockhart is the capital of the famous BBQ joints in Texas and this one is #1 in my book so far. I always use the drive-thru. I just love their chopped beef sandwich ...its different and has a really good flavor. I always get the same thing when I go there but the other day I branched out and tried the loaded fries. The fries had chopped beef and ranch dressing on top. The order was enough for two people it was so big. It's been a little while since I last visited. This place is decent, for a BBQ place in Lockhart, it's a real bargain. I had a sliced brisket sandwich, all the way, and was very pleased with the meat and fixings. I ordered a big tea, it came in just under $11, a pretty screaming deal. We were stuck in town with car trouble. The mechanic next door said this place has the best Bar-B-Q in a town that is supposedly famous for best Bar-B-Qs. Naturally we had to try it out. We had no idea how the ordering process went, but they were so kind and helpful. It is self serve on the many amazing sides. They serve the meat from their multiple options of amazing meats. All the meats were so tender and so delicious. The sides were all delicious. The service was so nice and wonderful. Will definitely eat there again when we go back to pick up our car. I try the breakfast Tacos (Only drive true- 7 am to 10 am ) and for my surprise was amazing the egg and Brisket taco! Flavor, texture and a great authentic Mexican salsa !
