11/10 experience. This is a must go if you’re visiting Cabo. The view and the ambiance is incredible. Called to get a table last minute and got a reservation and sat right at the edge of the cliff on the water. The chef clearly puts a lot of thought and effort into the menu. Each dish has a unique twist that make them different from other “fancy” restaurants. One of the best parts was the service. Right as we got there it was clear you were at a 5 star restaurant. Very attentive. Our server Joseph was the best server I had had in years. Great personality and is passionate about food which led us to getting detailed explanations of every dish, perfect recommendations, and an amazing experience. Thank you Joseph!
We turned down a lot of other places because of bad reviews, “overly priced” menus and small portions. This place was the exact opposite. Left a dinner where we both drank, had 3 appetizers and an entre each and paid a very reasonable price.
100% will be coming back and asking for Joseph! Hopefully he’s the manager by the next time we visit.

Easy 5 stars. Beautiful location on the ocean inside a gorgeous resort. Great food, fast service, yes in Mexico, and great atmosphere. The buratta cheese and yellow tail Hamachi were delicious. The grilled fish and pasta were yummy. Great experience altogether.

This is the best food I've had thus far in Cabo. It is very expensive for the area, but you are paying for the quality, and it is absolutely high quality.
It is also very important to note that this is a restaurant that explicitly has vegan options available, which is important as my wife is vegan, and she very thoroughly enjoyed her food as well.
I ordered the seared Scallops, Zarandeado (one half of a mahi-mahi, grilled in a special manner), and the esquites, followed by the Churro+Buñuelo dessert plate.
The seafood appeared to be incredibly fresh, either acquired same-day, or at minimum never frozen. The flavor and tenderness were both at an absolute maximum, and the zarandeado came with fresh taco-size flour tortillas (that were heavenly), so you can hand-make some fish tacos for yourself.
The sauces were packed with flavor, but were also just barely on the edge of tolerable in terms of spiciness, but I have low tolerance so no points deducted for my weakness.
The esquites was everything that is wonderful about street corn, without having to deal with the messiness of the cob. Spoonfuls of pure delicious.
The churros and buñuelos were fresh, and came with incredible delicious chocolate and caramel sauces. The churro in particular was presented in a unique, entwined circular shape that was very visually pleasant and also didn't change anything about the texture or flavor you'd expect from a churro.
The flavors were made with Mexico or baja-specific alcohols where possible, and according to our waiter, the produce was as local as was possible, and the fish was either obtained offshore, or from El Pescadero not too far away. Given the incredible freshness, I'm inclined to believe him.
Most plates are $100 American, though they have a deal that allows you to build your own prefixe menu using any but the most expensive dishes (the new York steak and the zarandeado) all for about $105 (at the time I went, ofc the exchange rate will change)
The service was very attentive, knowledgeable, and were very honest about the size and relative quality of the drinks and food.
The quality of the facilities was incredible, the Esperanza resort is beautiful and very, very well-maintained, and the staff were pleasant to interact with.
My wife has issued an edict that we must go back to this restaurant at least once every time we're in Cabo, and I have no complaints.

Amazing place to see the sunset around 6-6:30 perfect timing so you would be able to take pics with natural light, completely outdoor seating so you are subject to the weather, recommendation check ir before you book, make a reservation if you’re-not staying at the hotel. A little expensive but totally worth it! The place is magical.
The only complain when we order the offer us a special for an amount and at the end they charge us more because they bring us a “bigger plate” they never ask us if we wanted the bigger size. They should be more clear with this information.

5-star perfection. This restaurant cannot be beat. The service is impeccable (thank you Bladamir and Ana), the location was breathtakingly gorgeous and the food was delicious. We tried the crispy squid, porchetta, seafood spaghetti, catch of the day and red velvet cake. All were amazing. We were luckly enough to snagg a last-minute reservation for sunset and had a lovely evening. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Cabo!

If you have had the opportunity to spend time in Cabo San Lucas then perhaps you already know of Esperanza and the one of three restaurants .Cochino del Mar restaurant is where we ate one night. The restaurant has three tiered cascading terrace to the water with waves crashing at your feet with distant rocks and outcrops where waves crash 100 yards away as well. The staff is incredibly attentive, the food is impeccable and creative and all food themes represent a fusion with the sea, land and the Sun and Mexico flavors. The impeccable staff from Adam, the manager to Joseph who is the top tier waiter and Daniel the Wine director bring a top Michelin style , elevated experience one would find in Dubai, London or Tokyo. the meal can be done on a less expensive approach for the quantity is robust. but you would miss out on all the other opportunities to dine on some of the other unique food offerings. My wife and I chose a prefix and two Mexican bottles of wine ($115 USD x 2) the meal $370 with tip total $601 USD not cheap but if it's a special night it is highly worth it. Thank you all Cochina del Mar staff for making both our evenings quite special. Mike and Cindy Rogan
ps. we did eat there a second night and did share one entree with an appetizer and a bottle of wine($115USD) total around $280 USD. again a highly creative generous and unique experience where you will not walk away hungry.

I didn't know that such a jewel-like space was hidden in Mexico. The beautiful and mysterious space and delicious food made me happy. By chance, we heard about this place and visited on the last night of our vacation. I've been to Cabo 5 times so far, but I didn't know there was such a wonderful place. It's not easy to make a reservation, but I strongly recommend a visit. I fell in love with this place.

Tonight I was celebrating my birthday and the hotel that I’m staying recommended this restaurant. I can not express enough how cool this experience was. First we got greeted by Nicholas and out server was Bladimir. What an excellent customer service. The food amazing, the churros is the best one I’ve ever had, tacos and Gordita just perfect. This place is definitely worth the hype, I highly recommend it.
