A wonderful, unassuming gem of a café/snackbar type place. When people speak of warm Portuguese hospitality, this is the example they should use!
I wandered in here randomly as I was on hunt for a coffee, and it was on my walk into the centre, where I usually go. It's tucked back a little from the main road, but if you're stopping to check out Praia Batatas/Praia dos Estudents, it's right there.
It may not be the most expensive-looking fauxho café like so many of the hipster ones for digital nomads and tourists, but it has the best service and honestly, the best avocado toast in Lagos, or anywhere I have tried it so far in Portugal. Better than expensive Lisbon and Porto brunch spots, even.
A true local café that really cares about its guests. The gentleman serving (and I think he was the owner) was so incredibly friendly and nice. A very kind man. And obviously very proud of what he has accomplished as he should be. The cook was also delightful. The little notes they give you are a sweet addition that bring a smile.
While it was not the best coffee beans I have ever had, it was very nicely made and organic. A lot of attention was put in, and he pulls a better espresso than many of the far more expensive places in town.
But the star is truly the egg and avo toast. I often have this for breakfast as it's something I like, and is found in a lot of places here so it's easy. Most of the time, it feels like merely something to fill my stomach, not something to savour and enjoy. Here? It was fantastic! They actually care about seasoning! Finally, a spot that uses spices and herbs. It's amazing what a difference that makes when Algarve is full of such bland avo toasts. The egg was cooked to perfection, avocado was fresh, bread was delicious, and the price was excellent. Every bite was perfect. I tell people to come here if that's what they crave.
Amazing little spot and I can't wait to return again and again.

I visited here in September, I really enjoyed the location and inviting vibe. I was met with friendly staff, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere. The staff took extra efforts to ensure my food was gluten-free without compromising on taste. I had a fantastic lunch and the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Had a great breakfast with a warm welcome on a cold day. Coffee is delicious. Fresh yogurt with fruits tasted so good. I made the 2nd order with granola.

WHAT A FIND! This is a great place to have coffee and enjoy the moment. The coffee was excellent and perfectly done. The service upbeat and inviting and best of all, our coffees came with a wonderful little bit of wisdom. We could not give Coffee Break a better recommendation!

I stayed in the condo right above this Café so it was really nice to come downstairs and have a latte almost daily. The staff is very friendly, good coffee, and they take credit cards. It's right across the street from the beach which is also a plus!

The service was excellent,the food was delicious and presented nicely.We sat outside with a lovely view although there is seating inside aswell.It is a shame that we cannot visit more regularly but we are only here on holiday.Would definitely recommend.
