Nestled within The Woodlands, this bar and restaurant offers a dining experience that's both surprising and perplexing. The atmosphere seamlessly marries modernity with classic charm, and the picturesque terrace overlooking The Woodlands waterway is a true gem.
Culinary-wise, the establishment leans into Italian-American fare with a simple menu that showcases pizzas and bite-sized delights. The star of the show here is undeniably the pizza. Laden with rich cheese and flavorsome sauce, it's the exceptionally thin, delicately crispy crust with slightly burnt edges that steals the spotlight. However, the promise of the Fritto Misto dish falls short, with indications that it may have been hastily reheated, robbing it of the expected seafood freshness and crunchy texture.
Regrettably, the cocktails do not rise to the same standard. It's apparent that the bartender lacks the finesse of free pouring, as my amaretto sour was compromised by an excess of lemon juice, obscuring the liquor's true essence. The signature cocktails on offer lack the excitement and are often tainted by subpar well liquors, an overabundance of artificial flavors, and an excessive sweetness. If you're seeking meticulously crafted cocktails, this may not be your libation haven.
On a brighter note, the live music acts as a melodic counterpart to the pleasing setting, making it a standout attraction alongside the scenic views and the commendable pizza. It might be wise to return for these highlights and opt for simpler libations, such as a glass of wine or a beer.
However, the Achilles' heel of this establishment is its service—or lack thereof. Staff members appear inattentive, with a noticeable lack of care for customer service beyond the bar. Even when seated at the bar, one is left parched, as water is an afterthought, and the basic act of placing a napkin under a drink is often overlooked. Straws, a common fixture in cocktails, are provided only upon request, a departure from the industry standard. Service shortcomings extend to the dining areas, where guests find themselves forgotten, waiting to order, and ultimately taking matters into their own hands by requesting the bill.
In summary, this venue possesses untapped potential that could be unleashed with more effective management, a more attentive and dedicated staff, and a more inventive approach to crafting cocktails. While it boasts compelling elements in the form of live music, the scenic backdrop, and the remarkable pizza, these positives are overshadowed by the inadequacies in service and cocktail preparation.

This place has so much potential
The atmosphere was great! We went there for New Year's Eve. Music was great. Unfortunately the drinks were less than desirable and the service was even less. Could have been such a better time if they had good drinks and good waitstaff. Save your receipt because the amount that cleared my bank was not what I signed for.

This is a great place to visit on the North side of Houston if you do not want to drive downtown. Located on the water way there are several hotels in the area. Great local crowd from The Woodlands and surrounding area. Ambience is upscale and welcoming for a date night or roll in with the crew.
Service was good. Drinks are a bit on the high side which is to be expected being it is in the woodlands in a hotel. The atmosphere is good but can get cramped, especially at the entrance as there is barely enough room for 2 people to walk.

Beautiful location, unfortunately the service and the drinks are the worst prepared drinks we have ever had. We were a party of 10, and the only good drinks were the beer. A Manhattan was practically only syrup, the martini was served on a medium size glass snd it was half empty and watered down, the mojitos were just lemonade. Service was very slow, took 1 hour to get a pizza, and then only 2 instead of 3.
Poor service. We sat at a bar table and ordered a round of espresso martinis with waters. Waitress Vivienne took the order and told me to come to the bar to get water from the jug. I went up to the bar and poured my waters for my party while she made the drinks. She saw me and handed the Espresso martinis to me. What a joke! I grew up in the Woodlands, live here, and frequent the waterway. This is BAD service! We will not be back...

Very nice atmosphere. Not extremely spacious but sufficient. The patio overlooking the waterway is fairly small but has great vibes if you can snag 1 of the 4 or 5 available tables. The live band that was performing inside was outstanding. The staff was great as well. Drinks are pretty decent. It definitely feels/looks like a more mature crowd of maybe 35ish and up. Didn't have any food so I can't speak to that. But I'll be back to try for sure.

My husband and I treated our two friends to lunch and drinks by the poolside. The food came and the servers were nice enough. One meal, however, did not come for an additional 1/2 an hour. I could tell they rushed the chicken because it was chewy. So our friend barely ate it. All that was not so bad as we understand that mistakes happen. It was the rude manager that upset us. I asked for a larger discount then he had offered to make up for the bad & late meal. He sassed me, then walked off.
Other than this sad event, we had a brilliant time at the Westin! When we are back in town we will certainly stay there again. Sadly though, we won’t be ordering by poolside. The expense of the food certainly was not worth the insult of the service.
