Cracker Barrel is one of our go to places when we are traveling. This particular location was the exception. We both ordered chicken and dumplings and neither one of us could fine a single shred of chicken. We got a bowl of chicken FLAVORED dumpling. My girlfriend and I went to try their champagne brunch. Let me just say we won't be back for that. We had to ask for the bread. My girlfriend had the strawberry puree with Sparkling wine, which she said tasted sour, like the puree had expired. She couldn't finish it. I had the peach. Mine was good. They made the drinks in stemless goblet glasses, which were FILTHY. Complete with stains and lip marks with assorted lip stick. I tried to wipe it off with the only napkin given to us and it only smeared, so I chose a straw. I asked for a clean glass and got another dirty glass. This was after I spoke to our server and said to him, "If you can't find a clean glass, I do not care to have anymore! I posted pics of the glasses. What a letdown and appetite suppresser. The meal itself was great. I never got my biscuit and gravy until I asked for it. 50 plus dollars and no satisfaction. A Pic of my meal is posted also. Everything was EXCELLENT! Waitress was knowledgeable as far as in the best thing to order because my husband is a vegetarian with the exception of fish. Clean and the staff was nice. The food was fabulous. I had a vegetable plate, sweet potato w/pecans, carrots, pinto beans and broccoli. My husband had the fried white fish with the broccoli and pinto beans. Had a quick brunch... ordered the Country Boy breakfast.... with steak tips. The steak was extremely overcooked, but it had a ton of flavor. The rest of the sides were tasty and hot. Stopped in for dinner on a rainy night. They got us in and fed in short order. Just like most Cracker Barrel’s. The biscuits were fresh and hot. They made the kids burgers perfect and my old timers breakfast was great. Just like I ordered it. Friendly staff and a clean environment. Good job Cracker Barrel.

We went to the Hattiesburg, MS Cracker Barrel last Friday night. I always enjoy getting the Friday night Fish Fry, My wife got chicken and dumplings. Both were very good. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. Our server was friendly and accommodating. It was a very good experience - good atmosphere, good food and good service. we look forward to our next visit. My family and I went to eat there today on our way back home to Louisiana. We were greeted by Sierra who was awful. We were then seated and the waitress, Maddy I believe, was rude, talked over everyone, and was uncomfortably close when taking our order. I asked for a different waitress and was denied that request by Sierra the hostess. After that we had to ask for refills, my husbands order was wrong since the waitress didn’t listen to anything we said so he didn’t even get to eat. We had to ask for to-go boxes twice and the food was cold when we received it. I also witnessed the hostess rolling her eyes at everyone she seated when they asked for anything other than what she was giving them. I Hadn't been to this location in forever. Glad we stopped in. Early Sunday so it was packed. The hostess was polite and efficient our wait was minimal. Our waitress informed us right away "We're short in the kitchen. It's taking longer than usual. " 😯What!? 🤔Was that...was that....(gasp) HONESTY!? 😯🥹🥰👏🏽👏🏽How refreshing in an establishments associates!! She took our orders, brought our drinks🥛☕️, kept us topped off☕️and informed and the time ⏲️ flew by 🕑🕝💨. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Well I decided to go here because the traffic was heavy and I normally get good food. Well, at least in my state, I do. I was visiting this state, so in my thinking Well I don't know what I was thinking. I ordered the meatloaf, Mac and cheese, okra, and green beans. First of all, it came entirely too quick, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp waiting for me to order and tasted like it, too. The meat was so dry and rubbery that you could bounce it and take a shot at the trash can hoop. I have never seen green beans look so drab and depressing. This was all around horrible.
