I always love to eat at Cracker Barrel no matter where we are traveling. However, my experience at the Sherman Location this week left much to be desired. After being seated it took almost 20 minutes before I was even approached by a waitress, My food was lukewarm and the Chicken and Dumplings which is always my favorite were pretty much just mush. Of course the decor and the shopping are was nice and attractive as always. The young lady at the cash register was very pleasant and polite- what Cracker Barrel is always well know for. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

While traveling, we stopped here and had a good lunch. The biscuits were warm and fresh, the food was cooked well, and the service was friendly. Food is always good and the kids love to roam around in the shop looking for candy and toys. We probably eat here two - three times per month, but I wanted to say that tonight we had our best experience with our waiter. We had Tony. Tony was easily the most efficient waiter we’ve ever had at CB. Immediately had our drinks, then followed up with our meal being served quickly and our check was ready when requested. First time hubby had a Cracker Barrel. He was so not impressed. The "fish" was chicken nugget size! I did not get parts of my order, and both loaded potatoes were less than loaded. When you spend 42$ you kinda expect certain things. Hot is one of them, someone to check take out orders is another. Manager Christine? She did make it right by offering a refund. My brother took me out for breakfast, and generally, it's very good but disappointed this time. We had an awesome waiter, and I generally don't mention food because too many different people work in the establishment mess with your food. The gravy was tasteless, and the grits were watery. The wait staff is either purposely slow or incompetent. Don't expect your food to be hot or on time. Do not expect a drink or a refill. Do not expect anything about your meal to be good. Go in with the lowest expectations and you will still be dissatisfied. I tried hard to be nice. I had a couple next to me walk out because of everything mentioned above. I love 💕 this place. Not sure if it’s the food or the eye candy overload country store, stuffed with all kind of beautiful things that I literally want to take all of it home. I would not say no to living in a cracker barrel store. I would be giddy every second I was home. Stopped in with my mom today. She is visiting and wanted to buy some ornaments. Some things are higher priced but they do have ornaments and tiny salt and pepper shakers that are .99.

The server was awesome. She was very attentive. She made sure we had plenty of drinks, napkins, condiments and that we had what we needed. She was handling multiple tables brilliantly and equally. The food was great. We had mango tea, biscuits with jellies, apple butter and honey, while we were waiting for the rest of our food. The boneless chicken breasts were breaded and fried to perfection but not greasy at all. Steak fries were crispy, as were the crispy fried okra. The chicken dumplings were tasty and filling. The apple dessert was sweet. Mashed potatoes were delicious and the fried trout was cooked to tenderness that was melt in your mouth. I always tend to over order, so I had one of the chicken breasts to take home for later, along with a couple of the biscuits. I love that they use real butter. It makes all the difference in taste. My parents and I enjoyed our dinner. It was well worth the money and the time we spent. The server Pamela, was worth every bit and more plus she had a great personality. They have good food but I had the chicken fried steak and wasn't impressed. It basically tasted like it probably came pre frozen. If it wasn't they need someone who knows how to cook it or buy better meat. The store has nice things. The shrimp, sirloin tips, and fried chicken tenders are good. As well as various others. My server is likely new. I ordered the new breakfast tacos, and they were very good. The syrup, whatever it was, was too watery, but the tacos (pancakes, egg, bacon, cheese) were tasty and hot. My grits came without butter after I specifically requested it. I also asked for hot cornbread and butter, but neither came.
