Stopped by this morning to simply buy a 2.00 lottery ticket. Even though there were 2 clerks and 5 customers waiting to be served, only 1 clerk was servicing customers. I handed the clerk a completed lottery form with my selected numbers and said to him that was all I wanted. The clerk didn't speak English, and responded to my request with hand gestures and garble. Then he handed me 2 tickets and said it would cost 4.00 . I tried to explain that I only wanted 1 ticket which he couldn't understand. At this point the other 4 customers in line were getting upset because of how long it was taking for my purchase to get completed. Finally, the other clerk who was at a different cash register and not helping anyone, said he would take care of my purchase. He asked what the problem was and I tried to explain that I wanted just 1 ticket, but the other clerk charged me for 2. He gave me the 1 ticket I wanted, then said to me if I didn't like their service, then not to come back. REALLY??? Instead, how about if Cumberland Farms hired competent staff that could speak English and not disrespect paying customers. Not to mention, why have 2 clerks when only 1 waits on customers standing in line.
I’ve been here many times. It’s always a mess. Boxes in the aisles. Coffee spilled all over the counters and floors. Bathrooms are nasty. Everyone who works here is absolutely miserable. Today the cashier didn’t say a word to me. Just scanned my stuff and then stared at me. Didn’t even tell me the total. Absolutely bizarre. Management seriously needs to fire everyone here and start over.
Cumberland Farms in Provincetown is great! It's open late at night when everything else is closed! I've just tried their Farmhouse Select iced latte (in a glass bottle) and it's much better than Starbucks bottled iced coffee. It's not full of chemicals & it tastes like real coffee. They keep it clean & everybody wears a mask which simply makes sense. The staff is pleasant. A good place to get something you ran out of. Thanks Cumberland Farms
Back in 1989 I worked there. One night after closing I was driving by and saw someone inside with a stocking over his face. I called the police, who found the night cashier tied up on the floor. I and the night cashier were interrogated for several days until evidence of upper management involvement surfaced. It turned out to be staged by upper management as insurance fraud. I moved away and never looked back.
LAZYness almost killed my husband!!!
My husband who is anaphylaxis to cherry (a deadly reaction) for the 3rd time went into Cumberland Farms in Provincetown on Shank Painter Rd. to get a Root Beer out of the fountain. The drink that came out of the Root Beer spout was in fact Dr.Pepper Cherry based and HIGHLY deadly to my husband. When brought to the attention of the Manager he said thanks man have a good day... NOT even are you okay... Sooo I call the Home Office Customer Service number after waiting to speak with someone for 20 min on hold they hung up on me " you call can't be connected at this time Good Bye"
