I have never had a bad time here period. Over the course of the last seven years the food the staff the atmosphere and the price has never let me down nor have I ever left hungry.

Experience was 3-7-2024. This place is normally spot on but not today unfortunately. Walked in, waited as always to be greeted and was told to go ahead and find myself a clean table anywhere in the restaurant, that is exactly what I did. I sat there, and sat there for I don't know how long, it was definitely well over 5 minutes. Multiple people came in after me and were greeted and seated, given menus, drink & food orders taken. I stood up a few times to try and get people's attention after multiple people that work there walked past me and talked with other customers. I finally had someone come in and greet me and said OH, sorry, didn't see you sneak in here. I didn't tell her that I was greeted and told to find myself a table because at that point I was irritated and quite frankly I just wanted to eat something. That was when I heard one of the employees say "walked right in and didn't read the sign that says wait to be seated" , in a condescending voice that was loud enough for everybody in the restaurant to hear. I stood up, raised my hand, looked at her and said I was told to find my own table. I wanted to say a lot more because the experience wasn't great and I'm not one for confrontation which is why I'm leaving a review instead. I ended up walking out of the restaurant today due to this experience and this is a place I have been to many times. In fact over the summer and fall I went to DaddyO's one to two times a week as I was doing physical therapy close to where they are located & like to support local businesses, especially after the scamdemic. Not sure if I'll go back to this place, I probably will but things like that should not happen when you're running a business. Never ever disrespect your customers.

Was on a Maine short vacation. I always like looking for a local type places on my vacation, and this place exactly did that!. I stopped at places where if I see a bunch of cars and they're all from the looks like they're from the local area at a place, I just assume it's good. Drove by on my way to the casino nearby, made a decision to stop there for lunch. This is the second place I found in Maine that is open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. breakfast. Had the pastrami in in the bigger sandwich with with coleslaw.....Was every good and a great experience. I will definitely come back again!!

Super busy on the weekend and loud. I ordered a chili dog and fries. They use the red hot dogs here, which is fine...but mine was cold. I guess they forgot to cook it before they put it on the bun. The chili on top wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese either. Fries were pretty good. Server took the chili dog off ($9.99!!!). The time before this, I got meatloaf and it was swimming in grease. Service is always great, food is hit or miss, and ambiance is...uh...lively. We drive here from Auburn, but I think we're done for a while.

Most amazing home cooking around. Staff is super happy. It was a pleasure watching them interact with their customers. REAL baked beans, even purchased a loaf of homemade jalapeño cheddar bread (sliced at the waitresses' suggestion)

Fun place with excellent atmosphere! Oh and the food was great as well 😎 they played oldies music which is awesome since it's not common at most restaurants and I was singing along the whole time. There is so much to look at with the walls which are covered in license plates and vintage diner decor. Huge menu with fair pricing. The onion rings were GIGANTIC and delicious (see photos) and my chicken walnut sandwich on rye was so yummy with big hand cut fries, my favorite! We definitely plan on going back since we are relatively local to Oxford.

Absolutely delicious food and VERY reasonably priced! Everything was excellent - food, service, decor. Love the various license plates everywhere! Some are funny! They even have a paper placemat where you can mark all 50 states when you find them. The waitress was attentive and sweet! She treated my grandmother so well despite her being a little nutty. The food portions were plentiful! My grandmother doesn’t eat much and their kid menu could feed your average adult. I also love the food pantry when you first walk in. It’s so nice to see a local restaurant giving back like that! It’s just inspiring to see how giving people still are in this crazy world we live in! I will definitely be back and bring things to donate to the pantry!
Awesome. Delicious food and specials. Great atmosphere. The owner Aaron is absolutely pleasant with all the patrons. During COVID he will go outside to find out how many people are in your party so that he can accommodate you when you are able to be seated. The line is a decent way out the door but moves very quickly.
