Such a warm and welcoming place. Very kind staff, checking in on you all the time. We came with a little one in a pram and wasn’t an issue at all to let her sleep. If you got kids, they even got a playground, with swings a trampoline etc Food was great, I can recommend for breakfast “Dario’s Choice” with 2 extra poached eggs. Presentation isn’t fabulous and food was good, same as the coffee. Easy to get parking, just not the most serene setting right by the road, but a nice busy social spot. Just ate our Xmas Eve Breakfast here this morning:) We had a tasty traditional breakfast and omelet, great coffee, and had a delightful conversation with the owner and his young son in training. When you go, do yourself another favor and take a walk past the desert stand! We left with a mouth watering lemon meringue pie! VERY friendly staff. We stayed in Hout Bay for 4 days and 2 days in a row we went to Dario’s for breakfast. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Staff is polite and kind. An excellent local place to enjoy a really tasty breakfast; the juices are excellent, we had a variety of dishes between the four of us (me having the Vegan dish) and it was absolutely ace; especially the potato rosti and mushrooms. We had a wonderful waiter called Malvin was really on the ball, polite and very friendly and I would highly recommend here for a really welcoming feel and filling and tasty breakfast! This is a must stop for a breakfast or lunch especially if on a run or ride. Dario is hands on and passionate about his business. Food is fantatsic and he has light live music on some weekends. Dario’s just gives the best service! Me and my wife visited them for the first time on our honeymoon and now again a year later, the service stayd excellent and the food more so, 100% recommend their pizza, we just like adding avocado and fetta on to our pizzas, and they provided!
