I've seen some of the reviews. They look impresive. Enter at your peril. €9.00 for a beer. Way too much for a locallybrewed beer. Service was ok, but you're paying for it and it's not that good. There is much better in this town just moments away. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

Cosy place for meal in central area of Brielle, overall friendly and attentive service. I had rich tomato soup, which I can recommend. Generous portion as well.

We went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch. An elderly very thin woman with brown hair took our oder. We got the beverages right away but not the lunch. After noticing that every other table got their food before us even the persons arriving after us we asked how long we had to wait... "I'll check." Then nothing happened again... the waitress was ignoring us completely without any feedback. Every other table had their food with warm and more elaborate meals. As a second question did not lead to any feedback we asked for paying our drinks. Even then the waitress ignored us. Then we have put the money on the table and went away. We were friendly all the time... I cannot explain this behaviour. All the other persons were from the Netherlands and we were the only foreign guests. This was a very hurtful experience. I will never ever go to the Hoofdwacht again! Price per person €1–10

Good food, the muscles with fries, sashimi and hamburgers are recommended. Good beer too. Friendly waitress. Nothing to complain 👍☺️

Superb location in Brielle. But do wait. There is apple pie with whipped cream, and it is criminally delicious. I drove from R'Dam Centraal just for this phenomenal pie.
