This was an INCREDIBLE experience. Stop looking around, just book it. Rafa made us feel welcome and we enjoyed every minute. He has done an amazing job building this experience so it’s a great experience for all levels. It’s like having wine in an old friend’s home. Price per person €40–45 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Okay… I was googling wine bars etc and got stopped in my tracks by the five stars from over 170 reviews (so far). This really was truly special, really unique and honestly just lovely. Thank you, Rafa! We learned a lot, not just about where we are in Portugal and about the wine here that I haven’t had before, but about how to go back to my regular life and keep enjoying wine at home. Things in other reviews were so true, Rafa makes you feel welcome and at home, like you’re hanging out with a new friend. Truly a special person, thank you again! An awaking in every way! To the city of Porto and the beginning of a deep dive into my glass. Really a must-do! If you in Porto, this is a brilliant experience that is life-changing! I can’t wait to start tearing through corks when I get home! My husband, not much of a wine, was outrageously impressed. The two of us have been picking up lingering threads of our dynamic and highly informative conversation throughout the day! We learned so much in two hours. Hanging around with Rafa and spending some time over some diverse wines, what could be more intoxicatingly perfect? It was an amazingly planned evening. A highlight of our wine life. Absolutely INCREDIBLE wine experience!! This is much more than your average wine tasting - it's an in depth learning and sensory experience that wine enthusiasts of any level will definitely enjoy. Rafa is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, hilarious, and is happy to answer any questions you have. This was without a doubt the coolest wine tasting we've done anywhere, and an absolute must while in Porto! We cannot wait to take the skills we learned and apply it to wine at home. My sister and I attended Rafa’s wine tasting at the recommendation of a friend and weren’t disappointed. I’d give Rafa and the experience he creates 6 stars if I could. Whether you’re new to wine or have a lot of experience you’ll get something from this tasting. Rafa is extremely knowledgeable and breaks things down in a way that is engaging and easy to digest. I have been to so many tastings over the years and never had things explained to me in a way that will impact how I approach wine forever. He makes it feel very personalised and takes time to answer all of your questions at the end. If you’re interested in wine at all, you’d better not miss this experience in Porto. A group of 6 crazy Greeks at a wine tasting reservation last Saturday, 21.00. Absolutely no surprise confirming the so many 5 stars Rafa has received. He was waiting for us right at the door and from the first moment he transferred to us his positive energy and enthusiasm about wine. Our stay at his small, cozy winery was delightful, we didn’t stop talking and interacting with Rafa. Rafa from his side is a world class sommelier and wine enthusiast who knows exactly how to transfer his wide knowledge of wine to any people regardless of their background. Just a couple of hours were enough and a new world opened for our group, we left the winery thinking on how to choose and taste our next bottles of wine. Rafa, thank you so much for this experience, maybe the highlight of our city trip!

Had a wonderful experience during this private winetasting. Rafa really takes you along the journey of wine making, instead of presenting you different wines and "that's it". Fantastic experience! Rafa was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. We loved the intimate group vibe getting to chat to Rafa and the other guests, and the wine was great too! We learnt loads and had lots of fun. Would absolutely recommend doing this if you are in Porto!

Taking a wine tasting with Rafa is like taking a mini Portuguese wine masterclass in real life :) What impressed me the most was his passion for wine education - helping others to enjoy and gain more knowledge about wine, beyond just being a wine geek himself. I was able to ask quite a few questions digging into the nuances of old vs. new barrels, micro climates/terroir. And Rada was very patient and generous sharing his wealth of knowledge 🤓 I have been to a few other wine tasting class before but the experience at de Lima's stood out because it was intimate/small group, engaging and Rafa's enthusiasm was endemic. After the class, I put my knowledge to test - I picked out a bottle of red blend with exactly the style and types of grapes without reading the label at all! I guess I pass the pop quiz 😜 I highly recommend Rafa's class to any wine newbie and connoisseur alike!

Had the absolute best experience. We’ve done a decent amount of wine tastings in the past, but Rafa’s was the best hands down. From the hospitality, to the knowledge of wine, to the atmosphere of the tasting. It was amazing to experience wine in this new way.
