I have enjoyed going to Deus cafes the world over, and this one looks quite lovely. It's a bit out of the way if you're staying in Cape Town. Unfortunately, this seems like the kind of place where they have double the staff they need to run efficiently, but still manage to miss expectations. The first time I came, I asked for the bill as they brought out my main course, and I finished my meal and had time to wait before they followed through. The second time I came in, it was a quiet morning with hardly anyone there. Service is general was still poor, but thia time, the waiter had padded my bill with things I hadn't ordered. I never even got a proper apology, only a shrug and an it happens.. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Very nice place. Went on a quiet Friday morning for breakfast. The cappuccinos were excellent. The full English breakfast was delicious. The pork sausage was particularly nice. Sometimes pork sausage can be a hit and miss. This was a hit. My daughter has the eggs benedict which comes on a zucchini base, by default, she opted for toast instead. She loved it. My wife had the enchilada omelette. She did enjoy it, but commented that it contained little to no cheese. All things said and done, a great breakfast outing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Popped in for lunch on a Sunday with some friends who had previously visited Deus Cafe, we weren’t disappointed. Cocktails were great and refreshing on a warm day, the menu had good options and catered to everyone in our party. The staff were friendly and helpful and the venue is also really nice with indoor and outdoor areas, a great bar and little coffee shop. Would definately visit again in the future. Went for breakfast after Hout Bay Parkrun. Had the full English breakfast with scrambled eggs. Quick and efficient service. Lots of seating, indoors, and outdoors with separate smoking and non-smoking areas. It has multiple bar areas. Lots of umbrellas come - rain or shine. Seems like a great place to come in the evenings, too. Gives off a chilled vibe.

Wow!! What a gorgeous little restaurant in Hout bay. We needed a breakfast quite early in the morning and they open at 7:30am. We were greeted by friendly staff members and had delicious breakfast and cappuccinos. We’ll be back for more! Highly recommended! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person R 100–150

This was one of the better restaurant experiences in the Western Cape lately! A cool place with great food and staff! Highly recommended! They also have s bakery and a clothing store inside. When you enter there is always a table laid for the ghost. A stunning cafe & bar in Hout Bay! It has so much space and a beautiful atmosphere. I’ve been for coffee aswell as late night drinks and both times were great. Also attached to Sealand which is wonderful to pop into.

10th December @ 11h00am ordered breakfast for 2 people it took over an hour to arrive, and the place wasn't even full. The one waitress was so rude to me when I asked where my food was, she said it takes a while the chef is very slow. I ordered the Ibiza breakfast it was excellent, unfortunately the place was dirty outside we where sat in the garden. I asked for honey and got a sticky, filthy bottle.
