Their food is consistent and worth the trip there. I usually get the brisket plate with creamy spinach & fried okra. Their rolls are fantastic. I wish the plate would come with 2 of them. Very tasty, first time here and will be back. The pork sandwich was tasty, sides such as fries, baked beans, Mac and cheese, fried okra were all bettered than expected. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

They now charge you 3 1/2% to use your debit card or credit card. Other restaurants in Hattiesburg don't charge you to use a card. I went to their competitor and used my card surcharge free! In addition, they don't know what a mop is. Their floor is so sticky that my shoes stuck to the floor. Nasty, nasty, nasty! Your 3 1/2% surcharge has cost you two regular customers. I normally pay cash, but didn't have enough today so I used a card, but got a refund and went elsewhere. I don't charge a credit card surcharge in my business when a customer uses a credit or debit card. I gladly accept credit cards! That's just a cost of doing business. I ordered two meals to go from Dickey's website. I set up my order to be ready at a specific time. I arrived 10 minutes late and I still had to wait on my food to be ready. I was 1 of 2 customers inside. Food tasted fine, but the highlight of the meal was not even the meat. It was the double berry cobler and fries. That's a problem for any BBQ place. I appreciated that the staff here was friendly.

Came to pick up an online order, the man at the front was visibly annoyed and walked away after telling him multiple times who the order was for. The sandwiches we ordered barely had any meat on them, our fries were cold and soggy. The drinks were watered down and just nasty that we dumped them out. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this dickeys to anyone. The Covington has better customer service and gives you more food for your buck. I've eaten at this Dickey's in the past (and even used their services for corporate catering events) but I was beyond unhappy with my experience today. The associate was visibly bored and disinterested, the floor was sticky, and myself and the other patrons in line were visibily uncomfortable with it. The customer in line ahead of me was with his son, and the associate was extremely blase about wings (what the child wanted to order) being out - not so much as a token apology after. Then I got my food. All of my sauces were left out of my order - including the ones I paid extra for - leaving the meat flavorless and almost too dry to eat. The fries (my chosen side) were a congealed mess in their container and lukewarm to boot. I'd be more understanding if the restaurant was experiencing a rush, but I was one of the only customers present at all. That should've perhaps been a sign. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hands down the worst restaurant I've tried in Hattiesburg and probably the worst food I've had in the last 10 years. I say 10 years because I can't remember anything worse at the moment, but surely there was something. The sausage. Ordered the combo, ribs and sausage. Seemed safe or so I thought. When I said "sausage", the cashier says "Spicy or Regular?". "Spicy". What he didn't mention was that it's not actually spicy. It's actually sausage with cheddar cheese inside. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? I thought this was a Texas franchise. I took a bite and nearly gagged. It was awful. The ribs. Honestly, they'd probably have been okay if they hadn't been slathered in BBQ sauce. If you're smoking meat and you need to sauce it to make it palatable, then let someone else handle the smoker. And if you must slather it in sauce, the sauce should be good. The sauce here isn't good. Unless you're into Kraft BBQ sauce, which is trash. The spinach. Calling this spinach should be against the law. It's 75% low grade cheese with a touch of spinach here and there. And it tastes like cat food smells. The slaw. Was actually decent. Not great, but not as offensive as the other "food". You're better off getting a McRib. Avoid at all costs.
