Dom Peixe is an excellent seafood restaurant located in Matosinhos, Portugal. The location is ideal as it is right by the port and offers fresh fish that has been cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, with a great view of the BBQ area where the fish is prepared. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, ranging from sardines and octopus to cod fish cakes and monkfish & shrimp risotto. The wine selection is also impressive, with a variety of local verde wines to choose from. The food is always cooked to perfection, and the portions are generous. The restaurant also offers complimentary bread and olives, although they can be charged if not asked for. Overall, Dom Peixe is an excellent seafood restaurant with great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

One of rare places which is open 16:00-19:00! Fresh seafood and big portions. Polite and friendly stuff. The staff were really cool and friendly, and they made sure we were taken care of the whole time we were there. They even gave us some recommendations on what to order, which was great because I'm always down to try something new. Overall, I'd say that if you're looking for a spot that's flexible with their hours and has great service, this is definitely the place for you. I'm really glad I found it on Google Maps because it was totally worth it. So go check it out!

This place is quite pricey, and the parking is hard to find. Alongside all the other things that come with being near the harbour. But it is 100% worth a visit! Excellent service and the food is brilliant! Had a soup, giant tiger shrimps, and grilled Sea Bream. Simply amazing. Fresh and tasty seafood restaurant. We ordered the spider crab, goose barnacles, and tiger shrimp. We ordered in front of tank and they also confirmed the amount and size at our table. You will have a lot of choices if you like seafood. First time in Portugal so we also tried the seafood rice. It has many clams and shrimps. The service is also impeccable. Philip explained everything patiently and showed us how to eat barnacles. Really pleasant experience.

Tasty seafood. The prawn for appetizer is fresh, prepared in spicy garlicky sauce. Portions are big. The spaghetti with prawn and sausage in the picture is half portion but enough for us (party of two). Cuttlefish is so fresh and well grilled, the structure is chewy but not rubbery. What an experience here. By far the best cod I ever had. In fact everything was just amazing. it was 5 years ago but still amazing. right down to the creme brule.

Fresh fish, the most delicious octopus salad I ever ate... The food was fingerlicking good. Communication with the staff in English wasn't always easy but we got what we wanted. We can also recommend the red Sangria 😊

Absolutely superb food and service. Plenty of choice on the menu, large portions and great value for money. Do book in advance as very popular. Our waiter, Felipe, really made us feel valued. We are staying in Porto and got the 500 bus to Foz, had lovely walks by the beach then the 500 again to Matisinhos. We love seafood and it was a fabulous meal.

The sardines were the best! The freshness of the beach and the proper grilling on the charcoal was great! The recommended wines were really good, and the boiled potatoes were more delicious than I have ate ever before. The only thing that really hurts is that the olives and bread on the table are 2 euros. If I didn't ask, I would have thought it was free. But other than that, the restroom is clean and the store is very clean and nice. Staffes were also very friendly. If it were not just bread and olives, I would have given five stars!
