High quality, crisp, fresh, food.
I admittedly don't know much about Indian food or Dosas, but I thought I'd give this place a shot. I picked a combo at random and had the meal in the attached picture. Everything was cooked right on order and the right balance of moist and crisp. The sauces were well balanced as well.
And to top it off, the desert was not too sweet and had a well rounded buttery taste.
If you enjoy Indian food or want to try something fresh, try this restaurant!

I come down from San Francisco to eat here, often. It's a fully vegetarian establishment.
Quality of South Indian tiffin is usually inconsistent throughout the Bay Area - not the case here.
Every time I have gone, the chutneys are fantastic, the idli is soft, the dosa is fresh. The batter they sell is so much better than store bought batter.
I'd highly recommend going here exclusively for South Indian breakfast and coffee. To me it is better than the contemporaries (Idly Express, Madras Cafe, Madurai Idli Kadai etc) and you can actually find a table to sit and eat peacefully at without going to war. I think they're possibly my favourite in the Bay Area (and given the options, that's saying something.)

Best mysore masala and ghee dosas in the Bay Area. Friendly, easygoing, fast service. Peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Great gluten-free and vegan options (it’s all vegetarian). They sometimes have badam milk too—magnificent!

Ordered 3 different kinds of dosas to try. Vada sized reasonably, crunchy outside fluffy inside. Masala dosa seasoning was good. I ordered cheese masala dosa but when I opened the box at home, dosa looked flat, searched for the masala, nowhere to be found. I was given cheese dosa. Very disappointing. But in the bag, there's a container of masala by itself. I guess it's a DIY.

My visit to Dosai Express was an absolute delight. The variety of dosas they offer is impressive, and the taste is impeccable bring back mother’s cooking taste. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy, creating a pleasant dining experience. The staff was attentive, providing excellent service. The dosas were perfectly crisp and flavorful, accompanied by delicious chutneys and sambar. Fresh, high-quality, home made ingredients made a noticeable difference. Their selection of traditional Indian Breakfast, Tiffin was a nice touch. Overall, Dosai Express is a must-visit for dosa lovers and anyone seeking authentic Indian flavors. I can't wait to go back for more!

Ordered Masala dosa combo, came with dosa, idli and vada with 4 different chutneys. Crispy dosa with not spicy arloo masala perfect for me. Idli is big and soft, melt in mouth. Vada is amazing, crisp outside soft inside. Surprised to find this place in Fremont. Already shared this place to friends and family, also can go back anytime.

I had my first dosa in the Bay Area at this place and they are so good !!
We tried their butter masala dosa and butter plain dosa, so buttery and delicious. The sambhar and chutneys are just too good.
The service is super quick and the staff is very polite.
We’re coming back to try more food from their menu !!

Good variety of dosas. All were unique and tasted pretty close to what you get in south India - believe me I know because I'm from Tamil Nadu.
The sambar and chutneys tasted great too. Highly recommend.
