An hour after landing in Aguadilla, me and my family were hungry and with our go to place being closed, we were a bit discouraged. With celiac, trying new places is really hard. Luckily we gave El Panapen and our stomaches were very grateful. We The staff was very welcoming and the food was delicious, most importantly, everything was celiac safe. Recommended. Highly recommend this place for authentic Puerto Rican dishes. We had the pasteles with arroz con gandules and yuca and fish white rice and lentils. The pasteles reminded me of my mother’s. The yuca was cooked perfectly with the right amount of garlic. The portions are generous. They have a bar and serve coffee, which we did not try. Chinchorro Loto y Power Ball Lechonera y Cerveza bien Fría!! Under new management 2023 Was surprised to see other local favorites, like cuajito and gandinga. So decided to check it out. So I ordered 2 pounds of Pernil (braised pork) and Habichuelas guisadas (pink beans stewed) And then it hit me! I am so disappointed at this place. Everything is overpriced big time. The seasoning of the food is nowhere to be found. The food is very bland. This will only work for people with high blood pressure. I am no longer recommending this place to eat. The local was updated, and it looks better than before, but not enough to justify the hike in price.

Went to Panapen yesterday for some dinner to take back to the rental condo. The recent remodel looks great and I can tell you they know pork! The food was awesome and my wife really enjoyed the coco frio. We bought enough for 6 meals and the price with sides was very fair (~$40). If you like roast pork (pernil, and crispy skin) this is the place! Very good! Service Take out Meal type Dinner

The new owner and management has made a remarkable ,posititive difference in this conveniently located, but previously "sketchy" institution. The lechon & multiple steamtable offerings were fairly priced, the place is "airy", the food good &;the vibe even fine for a family stop! Well done! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Can't believe they charge 18 dollars for 1/2 gallon of coconut water when it used to be 16 for the gallon. Prices have spiked since they remodeled. Service Take out Meal type Other
