The place was decorated really pretty, the Christmas tree this year looks very beautiful. The service was excellent too, our waitress was very kind and attentive. They have this huge plate called "La cacerola del chef" which has a bunch of different meats and comes with two sides. We really liked the fact that they offered to accomodate our meal based on our food allergies. I'm really excited to return again soon!

Food was excellent. Absolutely delicious. Flan is the best I have had in my life. Portion of flan is very very small unfortunately. It left me wanting more. However, it truly is the most delicious flan I have ever had. They were out of the flan de platano so I ordered the flan de coquito.
Platano sushi is innovative, and bursting with flavor. The caldo to go with the mofongo plates as stunningly flavorful.
Steak is a tad overcooked and chewy but so flavorful that it's easy to ignore.
Server did not take our order for a while. One of the cooks had to have someone begin serving us. Also weird that you have to stand up and go to the side of the bar to pay. Just come grab the card and bring it back...
I was a bit concerned with our safety. Not sure why but the host was open carrying a gun on a waist belt with extra ammunition on the other side. He would patrol the outside dining area which is where we were seated. Not sure whether to feel safe with him there or if we chose a really rough area. Not really a safe sight to see.
It's all worth it though. Food is spectacular.

Beautiful boho style restaurant. They specialize in plantain dishes and boy are they good! You have to try the Plantain Turnovers (Empanadillas de Plátano) and the Plantain Sushi was such an original dish. And they are pet friendly! Loved it!

My best friend and I got there at 11:25am and there wasn't people, so it was great. The Sangria was delicious, the chicken with cheese empanadilla of plantain exquisite and the mofongo with chicken was really good, especially the chicken.
My friend got squid empanadilla of plantain and the sushi plantain with squid and was delicious.
I recommend this place a 100%.
It would be good if you get before 12pm, because it gets packed quickly.

Loved the taste of the food! If you want a taste of puertorican food I recommend it. Prices were affordable. No air-conditioning, but it's a cozy open place with ceiling fans, so it felt nice inside.

Cutest little place in southwestern Puerto Rico. We needed to get away from the bland, fried food and tourist trap in La Paguera, so we drove about 12 minutes north and found this gem. Service was excellent, atmosphere was great, and food was even better! We had the Platanutres Supreme with pollo with a side salad and a side of sweet plantains. This was a giant plate of plantain chips covered in pico, chicken, cheese, and a yummy cilantro sauce. Everything was incredible and this was the first real salad I had on the island (not just some shredded iceberg with one tomato slice). You won't regret a meal here... Unless you don't like plantains.

After traveling throughout the island getting our fill on Puerto Rican food this place offered a very unique spin on Puerto Rican cuisine. The food was top notch, some of the best we had. We wish we could have sampled everything on the menu. But we would highly recommend the sliders, shrimp apps, and La Patrona with arroz con gandules and lechon. The passion fruit sangria is a must!! The atmosphere was super cute and very clean! The staff was great and helpful in helping us choose the food. We wish we could have a place like this back home!

Great ambience, food and service. We loved the chuletas can can (giant pork chop) and the mofongo with shrimp and mero fish. The dessert flan was also delicious. 😋
The service was very attentive and kind and the place is very nicely arranged and decorated.

Omg, what can I share about this place. My boyfriend and I just finished enjoying spectacularly delicious meals at El Tablazo. It was a heavenly, tasteful experience and the service absolutely amazing, welcoming and friendly. John was our server. He is so sweet and attentive. What a host he is hands down. Oh and let me not forget about the fruit sangria I had made by John! Wow, wow, wow, I had to hace a second one. Their beers from from Ocean Lab Brewery are also amazing. I had the chuleta can can, with rice and beans, my boyfriend had the Patrona with arroz con gandules and carne frita wrapped in what looks like a pastelón. By the time we were done, we both died, went to heaven and came back. We are so satisfied and grateful for such a delightful place to enjoy a fenomenal meal. Thank you guys!
