I believe it is the best breakfast place in the city. Food is fresh and perfectly balanced - very tasty! Additionally, staff is really friendly. During my stay in Porto, I had breakfast there 2 times. All of them were truly amazing - I just didn’t have enough. I would like to mention the great prices, wonderful music, extremely friendly and attentive staff. And of course the divine food, which is seen on the pictures. Simply recommend to anyone! A wonderful stop in the right place, just off the busy tourist streets in Porto. A wonderful brunch and coffee spot. Right where you need to be. My wife’s rating of the coffee 5/5 for the flat white she had - and that is saying something. If you have been craving a good coffee on your travels, Esquires will not disappoint. Great place for breakfast, they have lots of items on the menu to choose from and their coffee is especially great. They even had cold brew which is the first time I saw this in porto. The staff is also incredibly nice and the guy at the register is crazy good at recognizing where people are from! From the moment we walked in the door here in Esquires Coffee Porto, it felt like we were visiting and old friend. Warm and welcoming. Excellent coffee, the flat white hits! Best breakfast in Porto. I found this place by accident as it was next door to my hotel, how lucky was I? I came here every day. This place is amazing. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and the coffee is amazing. There is a man who works on the till who manages to speak to everyone in their own mother tongue. Very impressive. Absolutely adorable place with delicious food. The hot chocolate was fabulous (not too sweet, but with the option to add brown or white sugar if you have a sweet tooth). Owner was very amiable and was working the till — he speaks four languages! They pegged us as Americans immediately, but a different group walked in and they offered waiters who spoke Spanish, French, and English. While it’s a bit on the pricey side it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of the food and drinks. Highly recommend!
