During Year end long weekend holiday, we prefer to use public transport for a walk around in the city. Before we kick start our journey, we had our breakfast - chee cheong fan at this kopitiam. Mine one cost RM12, quite ok. The food is fresh and I like the chewy chee cheong fan. However, the sauce is a bit too sweet. Overall it is a good dining experience. There are many other foods for selection. I think I will try others next time. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Famous and crowded kopitiam with variety of food available. Tried the chicken shredded hor fun and wonton noodles, they were good. However the coffee tastes a little average. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Excellent: Portuguese Egg Tart. Good: Curry Chee Cheong Fun with Yong Tau Foo. Fish Noodle Soup. The wanton in soup is really good. Average (i.e. don't bother): The wanton MEE. Drinks (iced coffee, hot tea or hot teh-C). Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Best lala mee ever! Portion is big and clams given are substantial. The broth is delicious and clean on the palate. Many ginger slices as well. Drinks are rather expensive here and plastic cups are used if cold drinks are ordered Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Lala Braised Rice Noodles

This kopitiam is located near the MRT station (within walking distance). Parking is limited, but we were lucky as there was a parking spot available as we arrived. Following the reviews, we tried the lala noodle soup and chee cheong fun. Whilst sitting there, I noticed that the wantan noodle stall is the busiest amongst all. Didn't order it but would definitely give it a go when I visit again. Lala noodle soup: OK. Can taste the Chinese wine. Maybe it was put in too early, it tasted a bit "bitter". Chee cheong fun: their sauce has a fragrant taste. Cham si: strong and smooth. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Unorganised queuing system. Aim some tables and queue for almost 30 mins. Some tables when we didn’t pay attention, the late comers actually took the table faster. No one actually manage the crowds. Feels like an idiot standing there waiting aside just want to have a peaceful breakfast and it ruin our beautiful morning. My boyfriend is angry and walk off… Walked to the opposite hawker stalls are way better. The service and food is just the same. Good Service, Overall good food and a little pricey. The only thing that has to be controlled is asking people not to smoke in or around the food permits area. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The food here overall is nice! Low rating for atmosphere due to bad air ventilation. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

This place was apparently used to be called Fat One Char Chan Teng and is now called BossKu Kaw Kaw since they renovated and the dining environment has greatly improved from what I hear. The owners need to hurry up and update their Google Maps profile or people won't be able to discover this business! I'm not a fan of the weird name of the place but hey they've got a a really nice lei cha (literally it's "thunder/lightning tea" but not exactly related to the weather or tea! ) stall here! Name of the lei cha stall is called Leng Chai Hor Por Lei Cha. Lei cha in general is a little hard to find around town, and good ones are even rarer. This lei cha had a good portion size, and I loved the full-bodied richness of the broth/soup - which is really what separates good lei cha from the bad. Not so much the rice but a nice, strong broth is key and the guy that runs the lei cha stall definitely understood the assignment. Would recommend! I can't speak for the other food stalls as I didn't get a chance to try them this time around. But I do like the different style of this restaurant: it's brightly lit, lots of sunlight, airy and I like how the individual stalls are designed and positioned in a unique way compared to the traditional/typical kopitiam/corner shops with the metallic booths, so I must say, the renovation must have been worth it for this place!
